No, [JJ Watt] is not a big talker at all. Like it's kind of – you kind of just – you hear him like grunting and moaning behind you as he's coming. He just makes noises, really.

This is an anecdotal claim about Watt's on-field play style, confirmed by Bortles' personal experience.

If you do go to London... they don't serve cold beer. It's all room temperature. So actually they have ice cold Guinness so hopefully you like Guinness. It's the only time I think I ever drink Guinness when I go to London.

DeAndre Jordan makes at least 60% of his free throws in practice

Honestly, he goes over and shoots on the side after we're done and everybody else is shooting. He probably shoots at least 60% in practice, maybe more.

Typical 'practice vs game' disparity for poor free throw shooters; Jordan's career game average at this point was around 42%.

Undefeated mid-majors like UCF should be in a 16-team playoff

As a mid-major school, it's tough with the way the system is now to get a chance to get into the college football playoffs. I think they should do it like how they do the 1AA or the FCS or whatever it's called, like a 16-team playoff. Because then you give them a chance, you never know until they go play the Power Five conference teams.

College football expanded to a 12-team playoff starting in the 2024-25 season, giving mid-major/Group of Five teams a better path to compete. Bortles' argument for expanding the playoff to give mid-majors a chance was vindicated by the eventual expansion.

Cody Kessler is a terrible quarterback

Cody Kessler that guy stinks throwing the ball over the place fumbling he recovered his fumble but still interceptions I get it you gotta maybe sit down the boat [Bortles] for a minute it was uh the engine needs a little tune up but good news the next game for the Jaguars is in London and Blake Bortles owns London.

Kessler finished his career with a 2-10 record as a starter and poor efficiency metrics.

I don't think [Kessler] was there to make Blake Bortles better. I think he was brought in to make Blake Bortles nervous. And that's not a recipe for having a good football team.

While speculative, the Jaguars' benching of Bortles for Kessler did not result in improvement, and Bortles was released shortly after.

Blake Griffin will dunk for the first time since 2019 this year

I'm really hoping that Blake goes there and then he can just immediately play like old Blake again. Change of scenery will be good for him. He's going to dunk for the first time since 2019. Mark my words. 2021 is the year of Blake Griffin dunking again.

Blake Griffin dunked in his first game as a member of the Brooklyn Nets on March 21, 2021.

Brooks Koepka playing the Masters on one leg is the most heroic thing ever

Brooks is playing on basically one leg. It's probably the most heroic thing I've ever seen in any sport ever. And again, we're not making excuses. We're not biased. We're stating facts. This is like Willis Reed. This is Kirk Gibson.

While Koepka was indeed injured, calling a golfer's performance 'the most heroic thing ever' in sports is hyperbolic and satirical.

Brooks Koepka is a hero for playing the Masters on one leg

We should also say the real winner of this Masters is Brooks Koepka. Competing on one leg like a warrior. Walking paralyzed man. Exactly. So the fact he was even able to get out there and play two rounds of golf. That's impressive.

Koepka did play through a significant knee injury, but 'hero' status is a subjective characterization used for comedic effect.

I want Blake to do well. And the NFL is a better league when Blake Bortles is in it fact, if it happens to be in green bay and if you happen to just sort of ball out for the next 16 years, I think that's wonderful for everybody.

I think that this is a good landing spot for him. I think the Packers see the direction that the league's going in. You need a quarterback that can move. He's got the highest yards per carry of any quarterback in the NFL, I think, in the last five years.

What would you shoot if you had to play the PGA Championship left-handed? [Koepka]: Probably the same as I would right-handed, honestly. ... I have no idea. I just know just swing as hard as you can from the other side of the ball.

While Koepka is talented, it is functionally impossible for a pro to shoot a major-championship level score with their non-dominant hand. This is hyperbole.
