The Take On Me Outros

For 8.5 years, almost every Pardon My Take ended the same way: an a-ha riff stitched onto whatever song felt right that day, switching back and forth between reggae horns and the 'smokers. Around August 2024, the show switched to stock outro music[1] and the bit quietly died.

Most of these were listener-submitted, often to SoundCloud accounts that have since been deleted. There's no archive. You can find old threads where someone asks what was that one with the Beanie Sigel sample? and gets back nothing. So I started piecing one together.

Slow Lewis...you the real MVP, with 58 mashups and many of the most iconic outros. The rest of the playlist is a grab bag of covers and mashups from other artists. I'm linking to the original uploads instead of clipping the podcast audio, because the podcast versions are low-bitrate and usually have someone talking over them. A fan-curated Spotify playlist of every song PMT has ever remixed runs to 350,[2] meaning we're maybe a quarter of the way there.
