I think the lions losing in a close game opening night is better than winning... Because if they do beat the chiefs week one Thursday night in front of the whole country, the lion's hype will be out of this world. It will be uncontrollable at that point.
The Lions did win the game and successfully rode the hype to an NFC Championship appearance, suggesting the win was actually beneficial.

I will go with the Jets verse The Patriots Week 18, probably taking Rodgers out of the playoffs. And you know what's gonna be a long and frustrating season of disappointment for Jets fans.
The Jets were out of playoff contention long before Week 18 due to Rodgers' Week 1 injury, and the Jets actually beat the Patriots in Week 18.
