Teddy Bridgewater is the best quarterback in NFL history at covering spreads

The dolphins minus three and a half... Teddy Bridgewater, the best quarterback in the history of the NFL at covering spreads. Spread Bridgewater. I saw some people call him Teddy covers. No, it's Spread Bridgewater. He is 42-20-0 against the spread that hits at a .677 clip. That's number one by far.

At the time of the episode, Bridgewater did indeed have the best ATS record among active QBs with at least 50 starts.

NFL points are a finite resource; scoring 70 means you'll have fewer points later

I feel like points are a finite resource... They might have scored too many points last week [scoring 70]. Too many points.

OpinionFootballHotSarcastic
The Dolphins went from 70 points in Week 3 to 20 points in Week 4 against the Bills, supporting the 'regression' part of the theory even if the 'finite resource' logic is satirical.

Watching Super Bowl tape as motivation before a rematch is a bad move by Kyle Shanahan

Kyle Shanahan forced the team to watch the Super Bowl this week and said, I think everyone understands that we've lost two Super Bowls [to] them. So, I mean, that can give you a little post-traumatic stress when you turn on the tape. I don't know. I don't know if I like that. ... In what world does that improve morale? Zero. I I guess you could just hope that it's gonna piss 'em off.

The 49ers lost the rematch to the Chiefs 28-18 on October 20th, 2024, suggesting the motivation tactic didn't work.

The Rio Olympics will be defined by corruption and extortion

Not only is the water full of poop in Rio, but the people that they hired to clean it up stole the money. So pretty classic Olympics we got going on here, folks. We got the environmental stuff. We got the extortion. We got corruption.

The Rio Olympics were plagued by scandals, including the state of Rio declaring a financial emergency and numerous post-games corruption arrests.

Bears in zoos do not hibernate because they have constant access to food and warmth

Animals in zoos do not hibernate. Bears in zoos don't hibernate if they have plenty of food and water and warmth. They don't hibernate. Hibernation is only in a state of cold.

This is scientifically accurate; zoo bears typically remain active year-round if conditions are favorable.
