Jimmy Butler fucked over the Timberwolves. Make no mistake about it. He fucked them over. Doing what he did gave them zero leverage. I'm going to sit out when I want to sit out. I don't give a fuck. And the Timberwolves were like, okay, well, now we're screwed.
Subjective, but it's a widely held view that the Timberwolves received a suboptimal package because Butler made it clear he would not play for them.
