LeBron James robbed fans of a hater moment by making the correct basketball play

I feel so robbed by it because [LeBron James] actually made a very selfless play. A game-winning assist for a buzzer beater. I was really hoping that the situation had occurred where he was trying to force it and he cost him the game. He robbed that from us.

The streak literally ended as described in the episode.

Chris Paul being a dickhead in his 20th season is actually a credit to his accountability

In his 20th year in the league at his age, he was still being like, 'Hey guys, we gotta be accountable.' Because I would think that if you're doing a farewell tour... I'm gonna chill with the boys. He was still being dickhead Chris Paul. It's more of a credit to Chris Paul.

This is a subjective interpretation of Chris Paul's personality and career.

You cannot fire Michael Malone if he wins two NBA titles in three years

If he then comes back and wins a second NBA championship in three years and your team's never won one before... That is a good thing. Yeah. No matter what like concerns you have about his coaching style or whether it's built for long-term success. If he wins two in three years, you cannot fire him.

This is a prescriptive opinion on management. Malone was indeed fired despite his success, making this a relevant debate point.

People are overreacting to the Nets signing LaMarcus Aldridge

LaMarcus Aldridge signing with the Nets had everyone upset. I still don't understand why. Everyone does the tweet where it's like, look how many All-Stars the Nets have... This is they're doing everyone who's upset about this is doing my Kevin White bit being like Kevin White's a top 10 pick. Eventually you get old and LaMarcus Aldridge, great career, but he's not LaMarcus Aldridge of five, ten years ago.

Aldridge retired abruptly due to a heart scare shortly after joining the Nets, then came back briefly, but was never a major factor in a championship run for them. Big Cat's assessment of his diminished impact was accurate.
