I also, in a real, like, honest rule, I think they should do seven on seven. Let them just fucking air the ball out.
The XFL (2020 and 2023) maintained 11-on-11 play, though they did implement several other experimental rules.

if you have Tim Tebow and Johnny Manziel in the same league, ESPN, they're going to be like one of those rats that's addicted to cocaine that keeps shocking themselves but keeps going back. They're not going to be able to resist talking about Tim Tebow.
While Manziel played in the AAF and CFL, neither he nor Tebow played in the 2020/2023 XFL, making this specific scenario impossible to verify, but ESPN did eventually cover the XFL extensively.
