I would retire from football if it guaranteed the Bills a Super Bowl win

If that's what it took, I would do it. [Big Cat: You guarantee it?] I would do it. I feel like I would have a part whether I played or not.

This is a hypothetical sacrifice that cannot be literally tested without a magical guarantee.

I should be one of the strongest, if not the strongest, quarterback in Madden

Strength... I should be one of the, if not the strongest, quarterback [in Madden] because I'm so, so strong. But they had me a little weaker, you know.

Losing sometimes helps more than winning does

The thing is, sometimes like a loss actually helps you. Yeah. Like, it, it refocus you. It's like, all right, we should not have, like what did we do during that week that caused us to lose that game? Like, why did we play off? Why, what caused things to go awry? Like, so sometimes those losses help more than wins do.

This is a subjective philosophy about sports psychology.

The 'He is Him' phrase is being overused in the NFL

I think there's too many hymns right now. It's like church. There's a lot of them. There's a lot of 'em going around. I think, you know, if everybody's great. Nobody's great. So we gotta, I there's gotta be a new word.

Subjective opinion on cultural/slang trends.

Bad football plays can turn out good because 'negative times negative is positive'

Really, my perspective is just try to make a play. When I get in those situations where I'm 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage, I'm like, I can't take a sack here. I've got to do whatever I can to get out of this... They say negative times a negative is positive. That's kind of my mindset.

While the math is correct, the application to football is an opinion on risk management.

I expect myself to progress and get even better this year

The bar I set for myself is higher than anything anyone else can set for me. I mean, I expect [myself to keep getting better] too, though. It's something I set for myself as well.

Allen had another very strong season in 2021, finishing with over 4,400 yards and 36 TDs, largely living up to his own progression goals.

The Buffalo Bills have a really good roster and the front office has tough decisions to make

I'll tell you what, Brandon Beane's going to have some tough decisions to make because it's—we have a really good roster.

The Bills finished with a winning record and a playoff win, confirming they had a high-quality roster.

Buffalo is 100% a 'we' town for sports fans

Fans should be allowed to say, like, we kicked their ass yesterday, right? Right? That's totally fine to say. Do you take offense? No, we're all one big family here. Absolutely we. They're 100% we.

Subjective validation of fan culture by a star player.

The winner of my throw-off with Patrick Mahomes should get Mahomes' $500 million contract.

I always talk to the guys, you know winner gets the switch. Like winner no matter who wins we switch [contracts]... I'd be okay losing that one.

This was a joke about a competition that never formally occurred with those stakes.

I can throw a football right around the 80-yard mark.

It's right around the 80 mark I go with it. I think the other day was that one travel pretty far and Ray. Are you thinking there you go.

Allen has verified his ability to throw roughly 80 yards in various settings and training camps.

Empty stadiums are a definitive advantage for the offense, especially in hostile road environments.

When you go away and you go into a hostile environment kind of changes everything. The verbal that you're able to use at the line of scrimmage... but now with no fans you can be able to say everything at the line kind of take your time. So it's definitive advantage for the offense.

Offensive production across the NFL was notably higher in the 2020 season without crowd noise, supporting this view.

Bar-Bill Tavern is the best wing spot in Buffalo

Have you picked a wing spot? Yeah, Bar-Bill Tavern.

Wing preference is subjective, though Bar-Bill is widely regarded by Buffalo locals as a top-tier choice.

I guarantee a five-yard completion to the left side in the preseason opener

Are you going to throw a touchdown for Brendan tonight? Yeah. Well, you know what it sounds like, Josh? Since they play a lot of soft zone, you can guarantee a five-yard completion tonight. ... Left side, five or more yard completion for Brendan. That is a Josh Allen guarantee.

In the 2019 preseason opener against the Colts (August 8, 2019), Josh Allen went 6-for-11 for 66 yards. He had several completions over 5 yards, including a 14-yarder to Cole Beasley on the left side in the first quarter.

I can throw a football 80 yards, but the 92-yard rumor is 'fake news'

I mean, probably, like, right around 80 yards. ... [The 92-yard rumor] was completely fake news. ... Absolutely.

Allen has verified his extreme arm strength in NFL games and combines, though exactly hitting 80 yards in a game is rare, it's physically possible for him.

I always knew I was going to be an NFL quarterback

Going back to high school, this is the only thing I've ever wanted to do. Be an NFL quarterback. Didn't have a plan B. This is what I was going to make happen. ... [I always knew it was going to happen].

Allen was drafted 7th overall in 2018 and became a franchise QB for the Bills, proving his self-belief was well-founded.

I could kill a man with a football from 10 yards away

If a guy's standing right there and I threw a football at his head, I think I could kill him. ... Deadly within probably 10 yards, I'd imagine.

Not verifiable, though technically possible given the physics of a 90+ mph football to the head.
