The 'Empowerment' coaching style of Chris Finch is better for professional players than being ground down

Finch has us prepared, but we're also like empowered as players to be adults. To be professional and come in every day, do our job and he trusts us with that responsibility. It is very empowering as a player.

The effectiveness of different coaching styles is a matter of player opinion and team results.

Kobe Bryant would make me do defensive drills for two hours without ever touching a basketball

I've never been to a workout where I go first off at six o'clock in the morning and we do defense for two hours. We would have days where we would not dribble a basketball. For two hours, two and a half hours. And he was so technical, like, no, you can't slide that way. He was insane.

This is a verifiable anecdote from Randle's rookie year with the Lakers.

Anthony Edwards moves unlike any athlete he's ever seen — at his size, the way he covers ground is special

I've never seen an athlete like that be able to move the way he does. Cover ground, get downhill, cut, just maneuvering. He's not a little guy. He is a big dude. For him to move at his size the way he does, it's special. And he covers a lot of ground.

Subjective opinion about Anthony Edwards' athleticism from a teammate who sees him daily.

Fans don't understand how hard it is to win in the NBA — every single night is a battle

I don't think they understand how hard it is to win. It is not an easy place. Every night it is — I don't care who you're playing, let alone win a championship. To go out every night and win games and play at a high level, it's not easy.

Subjective opinion from an NBA insider about fan perception.
