CJ Carr will be a top-five draft pick

CJ Carr's a stud. I think that this dude's gonna be a top five pick in the next couple years. So if you do take away the run now you gotta deal with the pass. That's something they didn't have to do last week.

CJ Carr is a true freshman in 2024/2025; his draft status is years away.

Virginia will make the College Football Playoff

Virginia guys is like Brady, Quinn. Like, they, they might make the college football playoff dude. Their schedule's awesome. They'll be 11 and one. And if they lose to Miami in ACC like 11 or 10 and two, whatever it is, they might be, that's the one team dude I think that's the one team that no one is talking about.

Outcome depends on Virginia's 2025 season finish.

Alabama should get into the CFP even if they lose to Georgia

If you're asking me do I think Alabama gets the fourth spot [if they lose to Georgia], I think absolutely they will be in based on kind of what the committee is doing... it would be hard to believe that they would fall more than three spots out of the top four if they lost.

Alabama beat Georgia, so the hypothetical was never tested. However, they were the #1 seed, and a close loss likely would have kept them in.

Alabama would beat Notre Dame by 30 points

I don't think there's going to be much debate, guys, at the end of the weekend... which I think [Alabama] would beat Notre Dame by 30 points.

Alabama did play Notre Dame in the CFP semifinal (Cotton Bowl) later that season and won 31-14 (17 points). While a blowout, it was not 30.

Kyler Murray's Heisman race is closer than people think

Kyler Murray is surpassing everything Baker Mayfield did last year as far as numbers-wise. And you could even argue he's better... I think it's going to be a really close race. And I think whichever one wins it, I think obviously it's much deserved.

Kyler Murray did end up winning the Heisman in 2018, proving Leinart correct that it was a real race despite Tua being the early favorite.

Baker Mayfield is going to win the Heisman Trophy

TMZ video... I think he's got probably a great shot at winning. I can't confirm or deny [my vote], but I think he's got probably a great shot at winning.

Baker Mayfield won the 2017 Heisman Trophy.

Alabama only made the College Football Playoff because of their name, not because they are better than Ohio State

I don't think Alabama is unequivocally better than Ohio State. I just haven't seen that from Alabama this year. I think they're great, but I think they're in because of who they are. And I think winning a conference championship at some point should matter.

While subjective, Alabama went on to win the National Championship that season, validating their selection in the eyes of the committee.

Oklahoma is the best team in college football right now

But I think Oklahoma is the best team right now. Baker Mayfield, they're a great man.

Oklahoma lost to Georgia in the Rose Bowl (Semifinal).

Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield will be drafted higher than people think

I think Lamar [Jackson] is going to get drafted higher than people think. I think Baker Mayfield is going to get drafted higher than people think.

Baker Mayfield went #1 overall and Lamar Jackson was a first-round pick (#32). Both went higher than many mid-season mock drafts suggested.
