I will get Bill Belichick to interview on the Pardon My Take podcast.

I'll work on that now. Right now. The football offseason. Yes. Right now we will go right now. It's gonna be, it would be the start of Grit Week. It would be incredible.

Bill Belichick did indeed appear on Pardon My Take for a long-form interview during Grit Week in August 2023.

Bill Belichick would win a PLL title within three seasons if he coached

I feel like [Bill Belichick] would win in the first three seasons of coaching [in the PLL], if not sooner. I mean, I don't think he really coaches football. He just coaches human beings... I think he understands the nuance of sports and blueprint of winning better than anyone... you listen to Bill Belichick coach you on lacrosse and you're bought in.

Belichick has never coached in the PLL, so this remains a hypothetical.

The PLL will be a top six sport in North America within five years

The PLL will be a top six sport in North America. There's just so many... it's competitive now. I used to say like, we're always talking to the big four, but it'll be the top six... Someone's got to go. We're probably seven or eight [currently].

Five years from June 2022 is June 2027. Currently, PLL has seen growth but is still behind the 'Big 4' and likely MLS and UFC in terms of North American revenue and viewership.

Lacrosse should use the term 'power play' rather than 'man-up'

People keep coming at me being like, hey, dude, it's man-up. It's like, dude, they say power play. It's a fucking power play... because what you have then on the women's game is they're saying woman up. And it's become a gender thing... Nope. It's a power play. They're on the power.

The PLL successfully integrated 'Power Play' into its broadcasts and official terminology to align with hockey and broaden appeal.

I am retiring from professional lacrosse very soon

how long how much longer are you gonna play for real? Not much longer. Really? Yeah. I'm 35... I get checked now, and I have bruises that last for weeks. So it's actually going to... My hips crack in the morning, my knees crack.

Paul Rabil officially retired from professional lacrosse in September 2021, just months after this episode.

The Washington Redskins should change their name

I'm especially scarred over the last two decades of Daniel Snyder's ownership of the Washington Redskins. I think the Washington Redskins should change their name.

The franchise retired the name 'Redskins' in July 2020.
