The Bulls mistimed every single trade during their rebuild

The Bulls traded everyone when the players were at their worst value. Like they, they mistimed every single trade. And this is going back to [Alex] Caruso, [Zach] LaVine, [Nikola] Vucevic... They basically were like, Hey, what would be the smartest time to trade 'em? Let's wait a year and then trade 'em.

The Bulls did wait long periods to move assets like Caruso and LaVine while their value fluctuated.

The Wizards fleeced the Mavericks in the Anthony Davis trade

I think that this is a great trade for the Wizards. I do. I think this was an absolute fleecing of the Dallas Mavericks... The two first round picks aren't really two first round picks. We didn't give up two first round picks. We gave out one that's protected that we're gonna keep. And then there's another one that could end up being like the 30th pick.

The trade outcome is pending the 2026-27 season performance of Davis in DC.

The Lakers are winners of the NBA trade deadline for landing Mark Williams and Luka Doncic

Winner Lakers. Luka also Mark Williams... they did need a big, that feels like a pretty good trade for them... they traded Dalton Knecht and a pick to the Charlotte Hornets, which that was basically a free roll. 'Cause they should have been in the Luka trade.

Subjective winners and losers evaluation of a deadline.

The Cavaliers are big winners of the trade deadline for acquiring De'Andre Hunter

Winner. I thought the Cavs getting De'Andre Hunter was big. Huge. Cavs are going for it. They needed that.

Whether a team 'won' a trade is subjective and depends on their subsequent postseason performance.

The Wizards' trade deadline moves are just a plan for active tanking

What the Wizards are doing. They're just, they're moving names around. They're doing stuff with the salary cap that I don't understand, but I know that what they're engaged in is just active tanking... now we've had a plan in place where it's like, get, you have to get really fucking bad.

The goal of the front office is clearly rebuild-focused, making this a fairly accurate assessment of their strategy.

The Bulls are the big losers of the trade deadline because they are the dumbest organization

The bulls are a big loser because they didn't do anything that they should have done besides trade Zach LaVine... they didn't trade [Nikola] Vucevic. They didn't trade Coby White who seven teams were interested. And it's like, they're just the dumbest organization in [Arturas Karnisovas's] dumbest.

Subjective evaluation of team management.

The Brooklyn Nets won the James Harden for Ben Simmons trade

I disagree. I think the Nets got the better end of the deal. Between Harden and Embiid, you basically get like a three-month period with James Harden where he can truly be happy in any environment before he starts to hate something about his life... Ben Simmons, I feel like the Nets could be the right place for Ben to be because he doesn't have to shoot.

The trade was disastrous for both teams. Simmons barely played due to injury/mental health, and Harden requested a trade from Philly a year later. Neither team won a championship with these cores.

Ben Simmons is still very talented and the 76ers had to trade him while his value existed

I still think [Ben Simmons] is talented... but yeah, I mean, if you put Ben Simmons with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, those guys are so fucking good... [The Sixers] just needed to do it. Ben Simmons was not playing. We needed to do something.

Subjective assessment of talent and trade logic.

The Lakers' disastrous season is entirely LeBron James' fault as the 'GM'

LeBron James made this group. He's the GM of the Lakers... We all saw this coming. I am keeping that same energy. [LeBron] said keep that same narrative energy when it begins. I am keeping that same energy.

The 2021-22 Lakers finished 33-49 and missed the play-in tournament entirely, widely considered a colossal failure of roster construction.

Andre Iguodala is the finesse king of the world

Andre Iguodala, the finesse king of the world, somehow sat out for half the year and is now getting paid more. He got two years, $30 million at age 36. And to live in Miami. That is... my guy got to promote his book, spend time with his family, get his mind right, and then gets to move to Miami and gets a shitload of money.

Iguodala did indeed sign a 2-year, $30M extension with Miami immediately upon being traded from Memphis after sitting out the first half of the season.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are going all-in for the 8-seed

Then the Cavs did the opposite and traded for [Andre] Drummond and were like, we're going to go for this. ... There's nothing better than the team that's just like, we're all in for the 8 seed.

The Cavs finished 19-46, dead last in the East, and didn't even come close to the 8-seed or the play-in.
