The Bears' win over the Patriots was my favorite Bears game since 2018

It was probably my favorite Bears game that they've played since probably 2018 against the Rams on Sunday Night Football when we almost made our good friend Jared [Goff] cry because it was so cold and that defense was awesome.

Justin Fields took a big step towards being 'a guy' against the Patriots

Congratulations. I think Justin Fields took a big step towards, towards being a guy this week.

Justin Fields had a brief stretch of elite play following this game before injuries and roster limitations slowed his progress in Chicago.

Patriots fans booing Mac Jones was a bad sports town move

The fact that Patriots fans were booing Mac Jones who played well last year, took us to the playoffs and was a first round draft pick and then were chanting for Bailey Zappy. That's a bad sports town move. Ooh, that I did not like that at all.

Mac Jones remains the Patriots starter and it's his job to lose

I'm back on like it's Max job to lose. If he plays poorly then it's Bailey Zappy's job to win. And if he plays well then it's Bailey Zappy's job... No, it doesn't matter that they won or lost. If [Zappy] played well in the second half, I would've been like, he needs to be the starter going for it. He showed besides those first two drives, which were, again, he showed nothing.

Mac Jones did remain the starter for most of the season, though the quarterback controversy lingered.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
