The Commanders will cover the spread against the Packers in Week 7

I'm already declaring coms [Commanders] against the spread this week no matter what [against the Packers]. ... Taylor Heinicke, if there's one thing that he does is he comes off the bench and he plays electric games and sometimes steals ones. ... I'm all in on the coms.

The Commanders beat the Packers 23-21 as home underdogs, easily covering the spread.

The Green Bay Packers are officially broken

I don't want to get excited but I think the Packers are officially broken. There's two games, the Giants and Jets, where they are a touchdown favorite in both and it just doesn't, like Aaron Rodgers doesn't lose these type of games at home.

The Packers finished the season 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the first time in the Matt LaFleur era, validating that they were indeed broken relative to their usual standards.

Brian Daboll is the runaway NFL Coach of the Year

Brian Daboll is far and away the coach of the year through six weeks... down 20 to 10 in the fourth quarter they do one of their patented like 75 yard drives where they eat some clock, get a big turnover. And the New York Giants, like they're Brian Daboll is making a good team out of just a not great roster.

Brian Daboll did eventually win the 2022 AP NFL Coach of the Year award.

Brian Daboll is the best coach in the NFL and Daniel Jones is playing "pretty good"

I think [Brian Daboll] is the best coach in the NFL right now. I think without a doubt he's coach of the year. ... Daniel Jones, I owe you an apology young man. I wasn't really familiar with your game. Daniel Jones is playing pretty good right now. ... under [Daboll], this team has become like sneakily fun to watch and good.

Daboll won Coach of the Year and the Giants made the playoffs, though calling him 'the best' over established veterans like Reid or Belichick remains subjective.

The Celtics are statistically a better team without Jaylen Brown

Jalen Brown has the second worst plus minus of any five time All Star over the past 10 years... Also the Celtics win more games without Jalen Brown than when he is playing... Last year with, with Jalen Brown, they won 66% of their games without, they won 80%... Their entire career with Jalen Brown. They are 263 and 1 31. That's 67% without Brown. There're 60 and 26, 70%.

The stats provided are fictional/hypothetical within the 2026 setting, but presented as fact to support a 'Ewing Theory' style take.

The Celtics are no longer eligible to be the NBA's team of the 2020s without Jaylen Brown

If the Celtics rebuild and they get back to like the NBA finals, let's say in like 2029, let's say they win another chip in 2029, that's a different team. Like the core is completely different without Jalen Brown. I don't know that you could consider the Celtics to ever even be eligible for team of the 2020s. Because it's gonna be two different iterations of the team.

Inherently subjective criteria for what constitutes a 'team of the decade'.

FIFA must change the rule so a red card does not result in a next-game suspension

I think it's just a, a terrible rule that if you get a red card from a game that you're also suspended for the next game. Yeah. You're already serving your punishment by, by sitting out the rest of that game and your team has to go down one player. Why do you have to sit out the next game?

This is a subjective opinion on sporting rules.
