Luke Fickle will be awesome at Wisconsin

And we hopefully will find somebody like Luke Fickle. Yes. Who I told you prior to the, you know, our taping here. I think he's awesome. Yeah. And I, all Wisconsin fans will not know what to do with themselves when like a fifth wide receiver steps on the field. Even once. I love him... He's funny, he's engaging, he's young. He's exactly who Wisconsin should be going for.

Eisen's opinion of the hire remains to be fully validated, but Fickell's first season (2023) was a modest 7-6.

The Detroit Lions will win the NFC North

Lions were one of 'em. Which I think we can all probably agree. They seem poised to make the playoffs. I think they win the division.

The Detroit Lions did indeed win the NFC North in the 2023-24 season.

The Falcons will make the playoffs in 2023

Falcons that division's completely wide open. Yeah. Who do you think wins it? The Saints. Just cuz they got Derek Carr. I mean, I need to see what that looks like. I like what they did on defense and I like the coach.

The Falcons finished 7-10 and missed the playoffs in 2023.

Aaron Rodgers can play deep into his 40s like Tom Brady

I do believe Rodgers can be Brady 2.0 in terms of playing deep into his forties. If that is something he wants to do. He doesn't look to be a broken down guy. He looks to be the exact opposite. Taking care of himself.

Rodgers suffered a major injury immediately after this, but intends to play in his 40s. Whether he matches Brady's late-career success is pending.

The 1990s Buffalo Bills are a dynasty

Do you consider the bills of the nineties of Dynasty? ... I would [say so]. We'll never see that again. Ever. We saw Brady, we saw Brady with the Patriots and Belichick and they didn't make four in a row... the bills of the early nineties dynasty there, there's names from that team that are all over the hall of fame.

Definition of 'dynasty' is subjective, but this is a very contrarian view in sports media.

Urban Meyer would fail if he returned to college coaching in the transfer portal era

You think Urban would be able to coach in the transfer portal era where somebody's basically like, I don't like the way you've treated me... His way or the highway. And as you know, and you'll get drafted. There's now a highway. There's now a highway.

Purely hypothetical as Meyer has not returned to coaching.

Patrick Mahomes is the MVP of the season

The Chiefs have the defending champs and they have to me the MVP of the season now is my prediction going in and just so you know, I'm not the only one saying that... Mahomes.

Aaron Rodgers won the 2020 NFL MVP award; Mahomes finished second.

Scott Hanson is a superior RedZone host to Andrew Siciliano

Who do I have to tell go Siciliano? Oh my gosh... I'm taking PFT's gun and shooting Siciliano... why is that? [Scott] Hanson is far superior. He's an animal. He is outstanding what he does.

This is a subjective media preference, though Scott Hanson's version of RedZone is generally more widely watched and acclaimed.

The Rams will beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LIII

I take the Rams over the Patriots. Yes, I do... I am technically copping out because those who make predictions or are forced to, when you make a preseason prediction that actually turns out to be spot on—I now have the cover of saying, well, I predicted it before the season, so I can't give up now.

The Patriots beat the Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII.

Ohio State will stop beating the crap out of everyone now that Urban Meyer is gone

He's [Urban Meyer] going to go play golf or whatever that famous golf course is... and then suddenly Ohio State's not going to be beating the crap out of everybody. I don't know. Okay, you think [Ryan Day] will beat the crap out of everyone?

Ohio State continued to dominate under Ryan Day, making multiple Playoffs and continuing to beat Michigan until 2021.
