The Houston Texans are not Super Bowl ready because their offense is not explosive enough

I don't think it's going to happen. I don't think they're ready yet... I don't think they're Super Bowl ready because I just don't think they're explosive enough on offense. And I don't think play calling-wise, they know how to put their foot on your throat.

The Texans lost in the Wild Card round of the 2018 playoffs to the Colts.

Mitchell Trubisky belongs in the NFL and is the best quarterback in the NFC North

Trubisky... he's proven that he belongs... I think they're going to win the division. I think they're the best team in the division.

The Bears did win the NFC North in 2018 with a 12-4 record.

The Baltimore Ravens will make the NFL playoffs.

I want to say them [Colts], but the Ravens, I think, are going to make the playoffs. And then it's going to come down to the other three... That team's dangerous because they're filled with veterans and they're well-coached.

The Ravens finished 10-6 and won the AFC North to make the playoffs.

Quenton Nelson is a future Hall of Famer

When I'm talking to you guys, and we're talking a decade from now, Quenton Nelson will have been in like nine Pro Bowls and All-Pro like eight times. Safe stick in this draft. You might as well put a damn mustard-colored jacket on his ass right now.

Nelson was named First-Team All-Pro in his first three seasons and continues to be an elite guard, remaining on a Hall of Fame trajectory.

The Seattle Seahawks will make the NFL playoffs as a wild card team.

I honestly think, during the fourth quarter hits, he [Wilson] says, 'no, no problem. I got this.'... The Seahawks, who I would have never imagined were able to overcome this and make the playoffs, don't look now, but I think there's a good chance. I'll bet you they slide in as a wild card.

The Seahawks finished 10-6 and earned the 5th seed (Wild Card) in the NFC.

Alabama will win the 2018 College Football National Championship

I would think Alabama, unless they piss down their leg, I would assume they're going to win it... Nick Saban's never had a team where the quarterback's the best player... their quarterback's the best player in the country.

Alabama lost the National Championship game 44-16 to Clemson.

The Patriots and Saints will meet in the Super Bowl

I picked the Patriots and the Saints in August. And I'm sticking with it. I think the Saints are the best team now... I'm going to stick with the Patriots, and I'm going to stick with the Saints in the Super Bowl.

The Patriots made the Super Bowl and won, but the Saints lost in the NFC Championship game to the Rams (following the infamous 'NOLA No-Call').

Drew Brees is the NFL MVP

If this continues, you can't not give Brees the MVP. You have to give it to him.

Patrick Mahomes won the 2018 NFL MVP award.

Sam Darnold will be the best quarterback USC has ever had

He'll be the best quarterback we've ever had there [USC]. I'm serious... I think he's going to be the best college and NFL quarterback USC's ever had.

Darnold did not win a Heisman or reach the heights of Carson Palmer or Caleb Williams at USC, and his NFL career has been disappointing.

Josh Rosen is built for the NFL and will save Jim Mora's job

I love [Josh Rosen] because not only does he think he is good, but he thinks it and he knows it. I think he's kind of set up for the NFL. He's got to play well to save some jobs like Jim Mora's job.

Jim Mora was fired in November 2017, just months after this take. Rosen was a top-10 pick but became a notable NFL bust.

Mason Rudolph will be a first-round NFL draft pick

I think right now of the sneaky quarterbacks who are going to be into the first round by the time the season ends, I think Mason Rudolph is going to be a guy that we look at and say, ah, okay, with the 16th pick of the draft, somebody takes Mason Rudolph.

Mason Rudolph was selected in the 3rd round (76th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Texas Longhorns are not a nine-win team yet and are at least a year away from contending

I don't think they're [Texas] a nine-win team this year. I think they're about a year away... I don't think they're a top-ten team. They may be a little bit overrated.

Texas went 7-6 in 2017, falling short of 9 wins, but won 10 games the following year.

NFL teams must start rookie quarterbacks early to find out if they have the 'balls of a burglar'

Don't I want to find out early if my guy's got the balls of a burglar? Because if he can't handle getting hit around and throwing picks... then I don't want him three years from now because that's a character flaw. I want a quarterback that when the dog pees on your leg, your girlfriend likes the other quarterback... and the crowd's booing you... can you pull yourself out of that and win?

This is a football philosophy rather than a verifiable prediction, making it subjective.

Mitch Trubisky is already a better quarterback than Mike Glennon

In truth, you guys damn well know Mitch Trubisky's a better quarterback than Mike Glennon. We know that.

Glennon was benched after four games and never started again for Chicago, while Trubisky at least led them to the playoffs.
