The NBA currently has the highest talent level in its history, making it hard to be impressed by individual stat lines

The talent level is that high. When I look at like the seventh, eighth, ninth guy and some teams, sometimes I just laugh going, this guy doesn't even play. It's the most talented time I've ever seen... But I hesitate to be as enamored with some of these crazy stat lines that we see because I'm like, this is kind of what we've seen the last five, six years with just teams selling out.

Inherently subjective assessment of era-adjusted talent and stats.

I was wrong about Dak Prescott; he was sensational against the Buccaneers

I would like to formally apologize to one Dakota Prescott, because I was wrong. He was sensational on Monday night... He was absolutely shut the haters up. I include myself in that camp. I was very wrong.

Dak Prescott threw for 305 yards and 5 touchdowns in the wild card round against the Buccaneers, a career-best playoff performance.

Tom Brady is done with the Buccaneers

I do think that he's probably not retired. The comments that he was making after the game felt like I'm done with The Buccaneers.

Tom Brady announced his retirement 'for good' on February 1, 2023, never playing another game for the Buccaneers.

Tom Brady is now gun-shy in the pocket and bails on throws early

[Tom Brady's] legs and his and his his want to, to stand in the pocket have completely eroded. I think that's part of his bra. I guess it's his spine. Yeah. His spine's not okay, because he's been hit so much this year that he is gun shy and it's gotten to the point where you feel bad for him in the pocket when he sees somebody coming.

Subjective analysis of a player's mental state and pocket presence.

The Indiana Pacers won the trade deadline by adding Ivica Zubac while maintaining a path to a top-four pick

I look at the Pacers, you know, like you add a top five center in [Zubac]... you clean up some of your cap stuff, you bring in a top center who's gonna make you a little different... and then you have a chance at the top four pick here... I like what they did because they were doing something long-term while also making sure that they're tanking.

The success of this move depends on the Pacers' final draft position and Zubac's fit over the coming seasons.

The Milwaukee Bucks should not play Giannis Antetokounmpo for the rest of the season

I don't even think Milwaukee would want Giannis to come back and play... They should want to do whatever they can with this pick 'cause they don't have many of 'em. And Giannis probably shouldn't even wanna play and risk health and risk this contract extension that he can get before next fall. So the tanking is gonna get egregious.

Depends on if Giannis plays and if the Bucks achieve a better long-term outcome by sitting him.

The Clippers made a smart pivot trading James Harden for Darius Garland

I like what the Clippers did... I don't think Darius Garland is this bad. He's a two-time all star. He's 26 years old... when he was right, he was terrific. And Harden... fourth trade request in six years. So the Clippers very quickly on the fly... you'll look at the Garland thing and go, man, they were able to land a player like that for Harden.

The success of the Garland/Clippers pairing would determine this.
