If Jeff Saturday goes 4-4 for the rest of the season, he will likely get the full-time head coaching job

If Jeff Saturday does even a halfway good job with the Colts for the rest—if there's eight games left in the Colts season, I think if he goes four and four he probably gets the job. He cut the line.

Saturday went 1-7 as interim coach and was not hired for the full-time role; the Colts hired Shane Steichen instead.

I bet on the Baltimore Ravens to win the Super Bowl at 13 to 1

I have made a wager on the Baltimore Ravens to win the Super Bowl at 13 to one... Everyone's like, Oh, you know, no one's gonna be able to keep up with the bills and the chief's offense. Why not defense? Why aren't we looking for defense?

The Ravens lost in the Wild Card round to the Bengals. The Chiefs eventually won Super Bowl LVII.

Lamar Jackson will pull a 'Joe Flacco' and win the Super Bowl in a contract year

Wouldn't that be so Ravens too? I was about to say for Lamar [Jackson] to win the Super Bowl in a contract year... And they have to pay him the Flacco. That would be, he would pull a full Flacco on you.

Jackson did not win the Super Bowl that year; he was injured late in the season and missed the playoffs.

Carson Wentz was not the problem in Indianapolis; it was everyone else

I think I actually take Carson Wentz's side in the breakup. Because like they remember how much they bashed him and were like, he's not a leader. He's the reason we lost the Jags. Now that we've moved away from it, you know, eight months and we've seen some more stuff. I think Carson Wentz was not the problem. It was just all the other guys.

While the Colts were indeed a mess after Wentz left, Wentz also struggled significantly in Washington, suggesting he was still part of the problem.

The Ravens are using a physical loophole to back out of the Maxx Crosby trade

I'm calling bullshit on all this. It does feel like something's fishy here. And maybe it's just the Ravens using the loophole of, hey, we can see, we can trade for Maxx Crosby, see how the rest of free agency plays out, knowing that this stupid legal tampering and then official free agency, there's a two day gap and then just figure it out later.

The trade was literally rescinded, but the 'nefarious loophole' theory is a subjective interpretation of front office tactics.

The NFL needs a 'no-backsies' rule for players who post elaborate social media goodbye videos

If you post a 13 minute goodbye video on social media like Maxx Crosby did, that should just be trade final. You can't come back on that... I actually am rooting for Maxx Crosby to be on the Raiders now because that will be so awkward and funny.

This is a humorous rule proposal, not a verifiable prediction.

The Panthers were right to overpay for Jaelan Phillips

The Panthers getting Jaelan Phillips, even though it was a lot of money, I feel like you gotta do it. Cap went up and I feel like you have to do those type of moves, especially when you are a playoff team from last year. Your defense was a problem... I'd be like, oh, Howie's interested? I'll give him more money.

The success of the Panthers' defense with Phillips will determine if the overpay was justified.
