Frank Reich should be in the conversation for NFL Coach of the Year

The Colts are really, really fucking good and Frank Reich, I mean, he's got to be in the conversation for Coach of the Year.

The Colts finished 7-9 and missed the playoffs; John Harbaugh won Coach of the Year.

Pass interference flags are the dumbest rule the NFL has ever implemented

Can we talk about the fact that PI flags are the dumbest rule the NFL has ever done. I think it was put out there as a trick on coaches to see which coaches have the least amount of respect for the officiating crews... It slows the game down. There's never ever going to be an overturned.

The rule was notoriously inconsistent and was actually scrapped after just one season due to how poorly it was received.

Penalties occurring after a negated interception should not count

The rule that if you have like a excessive celebration or a, you know, Block in the back or something on an interception that gets negated. It shouldn't count. if the interception is negated everything after that should be allocated.

This remains a matter of opinion as the current rules still allow for dead-ball or post-possession penalties regardless of play outcomes.

Frank Reich is on my list of coaches I love to bet on because he is always aggressive

Frank Reich is on my list of coaches I love to bet on because he's aggressive throughout the game... I honestly don't think there are more than a handful of franchises in the NFL that had their quarterback retired three weeks before the season would have been able to put together what the Colts were able to put [together].

Reich went 7-9 in 2019 but was widely praised for keeping the team competitive after Luck's sudden retirement.

The Chiefs-Rams Trent McDuffy trade is the first true win-win trade in NFL history

I think the only win-win trade in the history of the NFL might be the McDuffy trade. The one that just happened. Where the the Chiefs traded McDuffy to the Rams. The Rams don't give a fuck about first round picks. They got a great player and they still have their better first round pick from the Falcons. That to me is the first win-win trade in the history of the NFL.

Subjective assessment of trade value over time.

The Rams have proven that first-round draft picks outside of the top 10 don't matter

Are the Rams doing it correctly? Not that draft picks don't matter. Draft picks outside of the top 10 don't matter as much... instead of taking risks on a bunch of 21 year olds, let's get the known commodity knowing it's a crapshoot and just keep punting that down the line being like, we don't care.

This is a subjective organizational philosophy that has yielded mixed results for other teams, though the Rams have remained competitive.

Alec Pierce is about to get a massive contract in free agency

I think Alec Pierce is about to get paid too. I think the market on Alec Pierce is gonna be crazy. Possible Patriot. Possible Commander.

Pierce remained on his rookie contract through 2024; he did not hit free agency or get a 'crazy' bag in 2025.
