Allowing a single player to score 50 points is a bad sign for the Celtics' team defense

It does look bad if somebody's putting up 50 on you. Not a great sign for the Celtics this year. Like, it does say something about team defense if one guy's able to do that against, like, five.

The Celtics finished the 2018-19 season with a top-10 defense (7th in defensive rating), suggesting this game was an outlier rather than a systemic failure.

The Cowboys stink and Jerry Jones has no idea what is going on anymore

The Cowboys stink. And Jerry Jones is either dead or has no idea what's going on anymore. He actually has changed the narrative on everyone because he's so scared of firing Jason Garrett and not having full control of his team.

The Cowboys actually turned their season around shortly after this, finishing 10-6 and winning a playoff game, though the Jason Garrett era did eventually end due to the stagnation Big Cat mentions.

Jerry Jones is no longer making the calls for the Cowboys

Jerry Jones is not making the calls anymore. I think he's a figurehead right now. He's the emperor with no clothes... Steven Jones, he's taken over the kingdom from his father. It's like at the end of Braveheart where the old guy's dying and the son's making the calls.

While Stephen Jones took on more responsibility, Jerry Jones remains the official GM and face of the franchise's decisions.

LeBron James will eventually get Luke Walton fired from the Lakers

LeBron [James] will get Luke Walton fired, and you'll bounce back there.

Luke Walton was fired by the Lakers on April 12, 2019, shortly after the end of the regular season.

The Chiefs-Rams Trent McDuffy trade is the first true win-win trade in NFL history

I think the only win-win trade in the history of the NFL might be the McDuffy trade. The one that just happened. Where the the Chiefs traded McDuffy to the Rams. The Rams don't give a fuck about first round picks. They got a great player and they still have their better first round pick from the Falcons. That to me is the first win-win trade in the history of the NFL.

Subjective assessment of trade value over time.

The Rams have proven that first-round draft picks outside of the top 10 don't matter

Are the Rams doing it correctly? Not that draft picks don't matter. Draft picks outside of the top 10 don't matter as much... instead of taking risks on a bunch of 21 year olds, let's get the known commodity knowing it's a crapshoot and just keep punting that down the line being like, we don't care.

This is a subjective organizational philosophy that has yielded mixed results for other teams, though the Rams have remained competitive.

Alec Pierce is about to get a massive contract in free agency

I think Alec Pierce is about to get paid too. I think the market on Alec Pierce is gonna be crazy. Possible Patriot. Possible Commander.

Pierce remained on his rookie contract through 2024; he did not hit free agency or get a 'crazy' bag in 2025.
