The Commanders are not currently a good football team

Right now, if you were to look at the Commanders and say, are they a good football team? I think the answer is no. I, I don't think that they are at all.

The Commanders struggled down the stretch, validating PFT's mid-season concern.

The Chargers are an elite wide receiver away from being a real Super Bowl threat

I feel like an elite wide receiver next year away from being a real, real threat. [Ladd McConkey] is awesome, but it is like when you throw it to Quentin Johnston in crunch time... it is a reminder that, oh man, if they had a T. Higgins or one of these guys, a DJ Moore or even a Jordan Addison, it would be nice.

The Chargers lack of depth at WR has been a recurring theme, though McConkey's emergence has mitigated it slightly.

The 12-team playoff has officially saved the college football regular season

The 12 team playoff is gonna be great. Anyone who says the regular season won't matter is not seeing the big picture... We saw on Saturday a chaotic, chaotic scene all across the country in games that would not have mattered if it weren't for the 12 team playoff.

The viewership and high-stakes nature of late-season games for teams like Indiana and Ole Miss support this view.

Only Oregon, Ohio State, or Georgia can win the national title this year

I do strongly think that if your name's not Oregon, Ohio State or Georgia, you're not gonna win the whole thing.

Ohio State won the national title, which was one of Big Cat's three teams. However, Oregon and Georgia did not win it. The prediction was partially right — one of his three named teams did win, but the other two didn't make the final.

The Chiefs-Rams Trent McDuffy trade is the first true win-win trade in NFL history

I think the only win-win trade in the history of the NFL might be the McDuffy trade. The one that just happened. Where the the Chiefs traded McDuffy to the Rams. The Rams don't give a fuck about first round picks. They got a great player and they still have their better first round pick from the Falcons. That to me is the first win-win trade in the history of the NFL.

Subjective assessment of trade value over time.

The Rams have proven that first-round draft picks outside of the top 10 don't matter

Are the Rams doing it correctly? Not that draft picks don't matter. Draft picks outside of the top 10 don't matter as much... instead of taking risks on a bunch of 21 year olds, let's get the known commodity knowing it's a crapshoot and just keep punting that down the line being like, we don't care.

This is a subjective organizational philosophy that has yielded mixed results for other teams, though the Rams have remained competitive.

Alec Pierce is about to get a massive contract in free agency

I think Alec Pierce is about to get paid too. I think the market on Alec Pierce is gonna be crazy. Possible Patriot. Possible Commander.

Pierce remained on his rookie contract through 2024; he did not hit free agency or get a 'crazy' bag in 2025.
