MLB should not ban the defensive shift

I don't love the shift being banned. I really don't... I also don't like the idea of having the greatest product of the sport in the world telling guys that they no longer need to learn how to be multi-dimensional as a hitter. Manufacturing runs shouldn't be a lost art.

MLB officially banned the shift starting in the 2023 season, rendering his preferred outcome moot.

Kyrie Irving giving the middle finger and yelling at fans is exactly what sports should be

Kyrie should do everything back to [Celtics fans] and that is what sports is all about... Fans hating a certain player, a player upping their game to stick it to the fans. I loved every second of it. I just want more of it.

This is a subjective opinion about the entertainment value of sports conflict.

The media will eventually try to make Kyrie Irving a victim and vilify Celtics fans

I'm just worried that what's going to happen is since all these quotes are being taken out by the media, people are gonna be like, they're gonna turn Kyrie into like a big victim and everything and then turn and then turn the Celtics fans into like the big bully.

While some media members defended Kyrie, the general consensus remained that the back-and-forth was part of the playoff atmosphere, and Kyrie's fine from the league reinforced his accountability.

I am so sick of the Utah Jazz and want them out of the playoffs

I'm so sick of this jazz team. I want them out of here. I just don't want to be told that Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell are gonna have like an extended run in the playoffs. Get them out of my face.

The Jazz lost in the first round to the Mavericks in six games, granting Big Cat's wish for an early exit.

The Phillies will beat the Astros in seven games in the World Series

I'm gonna pick the Phillies to win it in seven on the road in Houston... as hot as they are now and what happened against the Braves and how they handled San Diego the way they did... Phillies believe they can beat anybody. Yeah. In this series, man, it's the perfect fit.

The Houston Astros defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in 6 games (4-2).

The Padres made a huge mistake not bringing in Josh Hader to face Bryce Harper in the NLCS

And I mean, Harper the biggest at bat of his entire career... They don't bring in Josh Hader to face Harper, which I think was a huge mistake even though Suarez had pitched extremely well. It's like you have the best left-handed guy ready in the bullpen and he's on fire.

Jeremy Pena is going to be a superstar in MLB

Jeremy Pena who's from Rhode Island, a third rounder that nobody even really knew about. Now he's one of the, the superstars of the post-season turning himself into, I don't know if we can technically call him a star yet, but it just, it looks like it's going in that direction. If you can perform at this level, this consistently, when games mean this much, I mean there's a 99.9% chance this dude is gonna be absolutely legit.

Jeremy Pena went on to win World Series MVP and became a fixture for the Astros.
