Bryce Harper is right that players are willing to lose a whole season over a salary cap.

He's right-ish... [Manfred] is pitching the salary cap right to the players circumventing the MLBPA. And it's their job to hear from the owners and then take that to the rank and file players. And then Harper's like, 'If you're gonna say that, get the fuck out.' Bryce Harper is right. Bryce is right about this... He can afford to lose 162 games. The guys at the top can afford to lose 162 games.

The willingness of the union to strike over a cap is a theoretical labor position that only gets tested during actual negotiations.

I'm optimistic the Commanders will get a deal done with Terry McLaurin

I got a chance to talk to Adam Peters today for a little bit... I'm optimistic things get done. I did my best. I tried to negotiate with Adam... mainly devolved into me telling him how good Jayden was.

McLaurin eventually reached a resolution with the team.

The AJ Brown deal is one of the worst trades ever for the Titans

Treylon Burks got waived, which officially makes the AJ Brown deal one of the worst trades ever. Titans traded AJ Brown to the Eagles. Eagles [made] a Super Bowl with AJ Brown. He also signed a four year extension... I don't think any of [the picks] are on their team anymore.

Evaluating the 'worst trade' is subjective, but the failure of Treylon Burks and AJ Brown's success with the Eagles strongly supports the claim.

Ashton Jeanty's highlights look awesome

I did see an Ashton Jeanty highlight and he looked awesome.

This is a subjective opinion on a player's highlight tape.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
