If the Bears had drafted Patrick Mahomes, something tragic like being hit by a bus would have happened to him immediately because of the franchise's luck.

if we had Patrick Mahomes, he would've just been hit by a bus. Like crossing Michigan Ave just being like, bus hit him. Patrick Mahomes is dead. Something weird would've fallen from the L and hit him in the head. We would've not gotten lucky with him either. Something bad would've happened to him. Injury year one, probably.

This is a hypothetical about a historical alternate reality, making it purely subjective.

You never win an overtime bet; it's where underdogs and unders go to die.

We could do without overtime though. [It] is a sword to the stomach if you have any sort of action. Because you never win an overtime bet. Never. Dogs die there, unders go to die there.

This is a subjective gambling superstition, though often statistically supported by the nature of overtime in various sports.

Kyle Neptune is not a good basketball coach and has to go

Kyle Neptune sucks at coaching basketball. You are not crazy. He got absolutely worked by Shaka Smart. The fact that he didn't call a timeout with 30 seconds left in the game... That guy is not a good basketball coach. Jay Wright would've won that game. It was disgusting... Kyle Neptune's gotta go.

While Neptune hasn't been fired as of the end of the 2024 season, the take is a subjective opinion on his coaching ability. Villanova missed the NCAA tournament under his lead in 2024.

Duke locking their Twitter comments after the NC State loss is the softest thing ever

It was also classic Duke, because after the game they did post the final score on Twitter. Yep. But they locked the comments. Yep. Classic, classic college shutting down free speech on in in America... I think it's better that they just don't post the final score than if they post it and then shut it down.

This is a subjective opinion on Duke's social media management and 'softness.'

Shohei Ohtani currently holds both MLB's longest active on-base streak AND longest active scoreless innings streak simultaneously

As of Wednesday, with Shohei Ohtani getting on base and throwing six scoreless innings today, MLB's longest active on-base streak is now up to 43 games. MLB's longest active scoreless innings streak among starting pitchers is now 28.2 innings pitched. Shohei Ohtani has both of them. That's insane.

Big Cat self-corrects noting the scoreless innings streak ended that day, but the 43-game on-base streak was accurate as stated. The core claim about Ohtani's dual dominance was real at the time.

Chet Holmgren has never been anything but a one-seed in his entire basketball career

Do you know that Chet Holmgren in his entire basketball career has never been anything but a one seed while playing? In high school at Minnehaha Academy 2018, one seed; 2019, one seed; 2021, one seed; Gonzaga 2022, he was a one seed; 2023 he missed the NBA season with an injury; and then 2024, 2025, and now this year with the Oklahoma City Thunder, one seed, every single team he's played for has been a one seed.

This checks out — Holmgren's teams have consistently been one seeds throughout his career. The OKC Thunder were indeed a one seed in 2026.

Nikola Jokic holds the fastest triple double in NBA history at 14 minutes and 33 seconds

Jokic holds the record for fastest triple double in NBA history, achieving the feat in just 14 minutes and 33 seconds. The previous record was 17 minutes in 1955.

This stat appears to be AI-generated and potentially inaccurate — the fastest triple double records are hard to verify precisely, and the '1955' comparison seems dubious. Marking as pending since this is a specific verifiable claim that's hard to confirm.
