Justin Fields is bad and making me sad

Justin Fields. He's bad. I'll just say it, he's bad. And actually, I don't even have to say it myself because he said it. He said he played like ass. He played like trash... This is a bad two in one bears team... History is just in a sick fucking way repeating itself where there's a terrible bears quarterback link to this abysmal stat of a lack of completions through three games... I think he's actually taken over for the Josh Rosen stat line. It hurts so bad.

While Fields had a stellar rushing season later in 2022, his overall passing development struggled, leading to the Bears eventually trading him to the Steelers in 2024. The 'bad' label was validated enough for the team to move on.

The Seahawks won the Russell Wilson trade because they got Geno Smith

I think it's time to ask the question, Big Cat: who won the Russell Wilson [for] Drew Lock trade? I mean, without Drew Lock, there would be no Geno Smith. Running back right now, cooking. Geno is literally writing back to everybody this week. He's doing a Rich Bisaccia and handwriting letters to everybody that hated on him.

In hindsight, this became a very common and largely correct sentiment as the Seahawks made the playoffs and the Broncos cratered.

The Bills aren't built to win in Florida or win close games

I think the Bills just can't play in Florida because they had the Jacksonville game last year, they had the Tampa Bay game last year and they have this one. They're not built for the sunshine state. They're also not built to win close games right at all. They've got 20 straight wins by double digit scores and they have zero wins in their last six one-score games.

The Bills' struggles in close games continued through 2022, notably losing to the Bengals in the playoffs, and they remained 0-7 in one-score games until later in the season.

The Dolphins are for real because they won a tough defensive game

I walked away from this being like, yeah, the dolphins are for real, for real. Because remember we talked about Mike McDaniel when he has to face adversity, when he has to win the tough games, this was a tough fucking game. They had the ball for 20 minutes. The bills had the ball for 40. Like they had to dig deep and their defense had to make big fucking plays and they were able to do it.

The 2022 Dolphins did make the playoffs, validating the 'for real' claim, though they lost in the Wild Card round.

American sports dominance is officially over

Are we as a country washed? because this also is on the heels of shams announcing SGA back to back MVP and I think it's been like nine years, I believe eight years since an American has won the NBA MVP... and Aaron Rai, it's the second European to win a major this year and Europeans are now two and oh in majors for the first time since 1934.

While hyperbolically stated, the fact that international players have dominated NBA MVPs (Jokic, Giannis, Embiid, SGA) for nearly a decade is factual.

The Steelers will be stuck with a 7-10 win ceiling with Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is back. I feel bad for Steelers fans... he's not the same quarterback... the Steelers just put a finite floor and ceiling on their season. Right? And it's somewhere between seven and 10 wins. That's what we're thinking.

Outcome depends on the 2026 NFL season results for the Steelers.

The Chicago White Sox are no longer a joke and could win the AL Central

White Sox are good. They're actually like, this is finally like, it's kind of, they're not a joke. They've got some sluggers. Big time dude... I don't know what the price is for them winning the AL Central, but they, they, they are not a bad team.

White Sox performance in the 2026 MLB season is ongoing.
