The Colts will win the AFC South

I think the Colts are gonna probably win the AFC South and I'm going to have to sweat out this pinky... the Colts are better than they've looked and today they finally looked halfway decent and they're going to start rounding into shape.

The Titans won the AFC South with a 12-5 record. The Colts finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs.

The Patriots will round into form and flip a switch halfway through the season

I do think the Patriots are going to round into form. Now they have - clearly the Bills are the best team in the AFC East. But I do think the Patriots are going to be one of those teams where halfway through the season, everyone will be like, wait, this team, why are they getting points on the road? Why are people doubting them? Like they're going to flip a switch and everything's going to start kind of working a little bit.

The Patriots went on a 7-game winning streak from Week 7 to Week 13, effectively flipping the switch as predicted.

Taylor Heinicke is a young Ryan Fitzpatrick

Taylor Heinicke is just a young Ryan Fitzpatrick because he's fucking psycho. He doesn't play by any of the rules... He loves throwing across his body. He loves throwing across the field. He loves almost getting sacked. It's crazy.

This is a subjective comparison of playstyles, though Heinicke did sustain a similar 'journeyman backup with high variance' career path.

I am all the way back on Daniel Jones and I'm starting to think the Giants might be good

I'm all the way back on Danny Dimes... Something about that game was incredible... I now think the Giants might be good and it's a sickness of mine and it's obviously partly because I bet on them. I feel vindicated, but that was good Danny Dimes.

The Giants finished 4-13 and Daniel Jones was eventually injured, proving they were not 'good'.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
