The Detroit Lions are the most exciting team in football

I think the Lions are the most exciting team in football... I think that the lines are just straight up exciting football because I think they lead the league in points per game. Yep. And I think they lead the league in points given up per game.

The Lions finished as a top scoring offense and a bottom-tier defense, making them a fixture of high-scoring games all year.

Patrick Mahomes would lead the Texans to the playoffs right now

The reality is, I think if you put Patrick Mahomes on the worst team in the league, I think they make the playoffs. Yeah, I think he's that good. I think he is. If he, if Pat, if you took Patrick Mahomes right now and put him on the Texans... they probably make the playoffs.

This is a hypothetical, but Mahomes is historically great. However, the 2022 Texans were extremely deficient, making a playoff run unlikely for any single player.

The Buccaneers and Chiefs will both make the divisional round of the playoffs

I would make a healthy wager that both the Bucks and Chiefs will be around divisional round playoffs.

The Chiefs won the Super Bowl (passed Divisional), but the Buccaneers lost in the Wild Card round to the Cowboys.

I bet a decent amount of money on the Eagles to go 17-0

I did, I did put a future on the Eagles earlier this week. I, I put, I put a decent amount of money on them to go completely undefeated... they only have to get, they have to go 17 and oh for this to hit. If the Eagles go 17 and Oh I will, I will be a rich man.

The Eagles lost their first game in Week 10 to the Commanders, finishing 14-3.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
