Mikal Bridges will be the 'Donovan Mitchell' of the 2018 draft who steps in and doesn't miss a beat

I would say Mikal Bridges is the best that could probably step in and he's not going to be like as good as Jason Tatum or Donovan Mitchell probably. But, uh, I don't know. He can give you something like right away and you can like see, see it right away... that guy could jump on an NBA court right this second and not miss a beat.

Mikal Bridges became an elite 3-and-D starter immediately and eventually a borderline All-Star and Iron Man of the NBA.

Teams should hesitate to sign LeBron James to a Supermax due to his whiteboard-punching 'hand injury'

how does lebron's like terrible terrible very very painful looking um displaced compound fracture hand injury affect his free agency status because if I was a team, I would hesitate against paying a guy with an injury like that a Supermax contract.

LeBron signed a 4-year, $154 million deal with the Lakers shortly after, so the injury did not affect his contract status.

There is a 'Cavaliers Curse' affecting teams named the Cavaliers

We talk a lot about curses on this show. I think it's fair to ask, given the showing in recent basketball tournaments by teams named [Cavaliers], is there a Cavs curse? [UVA and Cleveland].

While both teams suffered historic/disappointing losses in 2018, UVA would go on to win the national championship in 2019, breaking any 'curse.'

The Warriors can play only 15 minutes of real basketball and beat anyone in the world

The Warriors can play 15 minutes of Warriors basketball and beat anyone in the world, and they just needed to be pushed a little. And even if you saw their body language going to that game six and seven in Western Conference rounds, they didn't care. They're like, yeah, we're going to still win.

The Warriors won the 2018 title in a sweep, confirming their massive talent gap over the league.

The 2026 NCAA tournament will be chalky for the second consecutive year

Last year I came and I, and I, I made the argument that we're probably gonna get chalk. That's exactly what happened... for the second year in a row, I don't see [Cinderellas] at all... Arizona, Michigan and Duke are, in my estimation, they've been head and shoulders better than everybody else all season. So I I, with that, I feel like it's gonna be kind of chalky.

Pending the completion of the 2026 tournament.

South Florida will beat Louisville in the first round

I like South Florida to beat Louisville. I think Louisville has been a big disappointment this year. I think injuries have, it's a lot of injuries... I like South Florida. I don't know, maybe it's the Bosco effect, but like, he got me watching a lot of South Florida the last few days and, and they play hard.

Pending the USF vs Louisville game outcome.

Arizona will win the 2026 National Championship

I'll just spoiler, I, I picked Arizona to win the national championship. I think what excites me about Arizona is they could beat you in so many different ways... They have shooters, they have multiple shooters... I can't say enough great things about Arizona.

Pending the outcome of the National Championship game.
