Fernando Mendoza will be the Las Vegas Raiders starting quarterback next year

Fernando Mendoza got to show that he can take a beating. Yeah. Which he will likely have to do as a Las Vegas Raiders quarterback next year.

Fernando Mendoza was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. However, the Raiders also signed veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, who is widely projected to be the Week 1 starter for the 2026 season, with Mendoza as his backup or competing for the role. It is not yet definitively resolved that Mendoza will be the starting quarterback for the entire 2026 season.

Indiana winning the National Championship is the greatest story in college football history

The Indiana Hoosiers are national champions of the college football world... it is the craziest story... the greatest story in college football. That is a fact.

Indiana did win the 2026 title in this transcript, and their turnaround from historically bad to champions is objectively one of the greatest statistically.

Mark Fletcher will be one of the best running backs in college football next year

In the second half, Miami got the ground game going. [Mark] Fletcher is awesome. I've loved watching Fletcher this entire year. He's gonna be back next year. And I think the Hurricanes are gonna have another great team.

Pending the 2026 college football season results.

Carson Beck is an 'okay' quarterback but his lack of NFL potential is unclear

Carson Beck, I think he's an okay quarterback, but not, you know, he's been in these... he's an okay quarterback. [The three losses for Miami this year], four of them came on an interception when they had a chance to win the game.

Beck's NFL career performance will eventually determine if he was just 'okay' or better.

Conor McGregor likely fought on an existing injury and aggravated it during the fight

I think it was probably hurt and probably aggravated it during the fight. Now, would it shock me to know that Conor McGregor tore his ACL in training and then he just pretended that it wasn't hurt? No, that wouldn't surprise me either. But I think it was probably something wrong with it and when he went out there to try to fight on it immediately, just it told him, 'no, you can't do this.'

While confirmed by some medical reports later, the exact state of his knee pre-fight remains a point of debate.

England was the much better team, but Erling Haaland is a one-man squad for Norway

England was a much, much better team. But... that guy that didn't pass the ball to Erling Haaland, give me a break. Haaland, you are a one man team and that's okay.

Subjective opinion on Haaland's role.

The World Cup being expanded to 64 teams is just a monetization play by Gianni Infantino

He wanted to turn it into American sports and he wanted to use this World Cup to learn how we're able to monetize every single facet of our sports. And the fact that it was somebody whispered like, 'Hey, you know, the NCAA tournament they used to do 64, everybody loved that bracket.' He thought about that and he was like, 'that's a great idea. I think I will, I'll try to do that.'

The World Cup expansion is a fact; the motivation is subjective but widely believed to be financial.
