Isaiah Thomas is in the 'Jimmy Butler zone' of being good, but not great

I think that Isaiah Thomas is firmly in my Jimmy Butler zone. ... Good, not great.

Isaiah Thomas had an All-NBA season in 2017 but his career declined shortly after due to injury; Butler eventually surpassed this tier.

The Falcons choked the Super Bowl away to the Patriots

I think the Falcons choked it away pretty hard. I didn't realize how bad the choke was until I saw the Patriots should have lost in four different wins.

The Falcons leading 28-3 in the third quarter and losing is statistically the greatest collapse in NFL history.

The Falcons lost the Super Bowl because Kyle Shanahan got 'too smart' and stopped running the ball

I don't know why they stopped running. Kyle Shanahan... Got a little too smart. You know what would have been funny is if they had just pulled his offer [to coach the 49ers]. Actually, you know what? The 49ers would probably kill half their homeless population just to get to a Super Bowl.

The Falcons famously led 28-3 and stopped running late in the game, leading to the Patriots' historic comeback.

Tom Brady will win one more Super Bowl to finish with six

I think that Brady's going to win one more Super Bowl. I think we'll get two. I think he'll win six.

Brady finished with 7 rings, winning two more after this podcast aired.

Duke would have won the National Championship by 50 points if they had reached the final.

I think if Duke plays in the championship game, they win by 50. Easily. That was a wasted opportunity.

This is a hyperbolic counterfactual that cannot be proven, making it subjective.

Michigan is already the favorite to win the National Championship again next season.

Michigan I think is right now the favorites to win next season. Tough to win back to back, but he has to hit the portal. He has to be active... which he already is.

This is a prediction for the next college basketball season.

College basketball is now 'pay to win' and that's unsustainable

It's a pay to win tournament. Like basketball is ruined. Unsustainable. Yeah, that's the new word that I keep hearing.

Subjective opinion about the direction of college sports governance.
