JJ Watt will come out of retirement to play for the Cincinnati Bengals

JJ Watt is back. He is probably going to come out of retirement to play for the Bengals... I'm rooting for that to happen. I think he would be able to do it.

JJ Watt did not come out of retirement. A bet involving Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford almost triggered a return, but Trafford's clean sheet streak ended, and Watt confirmed he would not be unretiring.

The Rams could have won the Super Bowl last year if a few things had broken differently

I went away from the playoffs being like the Rams were right there. If a couple things break differently, they could have feasibly won the Super Bowl.

The Rams lost to the Eagles in the divisional round; whether they could have won it all is subjective but they were competitive.

Sam Darnold will take less money to play for the Rams next season

I think [Sam Darnold] probably would take a little bit less money to play for, for Los Angeles than another team if it came down to that.

PFT Commenter predicted Sam Darnold would take less money to play for the Rams. Darnold signed a 3-year, $110.5M deal with the Seattle Seahawks, not the Rams. He did not take less money or go to Los Angeles.

Alex Ovechkin will break the NHL goal record this season against the Penguins on April 17th

I think he's gonna do it this year. I think he's gonna do it against the [Penguins] at the end of the season... having him break it right in Sidney Crosby's face would be incredible. It's the last game of the regular season at Pittsburgh.

Ovechkin broke the NHL goal record on April 6, 2025, against the New York Islanders at UBS Arena, not against the Penguins on April 17th as predicted. He scored goal #895 to pass Gretzky's record of 894.

The Chiefs' window never closed

I don't think we ever actually closed the Chiefs' window. I think Mahomes was just in bed because he was injured, far away from the window.

The Chiefs' long-term contention status is ultimately subjective, though their dynasty remained active at the time of the episode.

Mahomes will be back to himself by season's end

By the end of this season, Mahomes is gonna be back to being Mahomes.

Whether Mahomes returned to his established level by the end of the 2026 NFL season had not yet been resolved.

The Oregon loss could turn Dan Lanning into a psychopath

I don't think that Dan Lanning has slept since that loss. I think Dan Lanning has turned into an absolute psycho because of this loss. He's sick. It actually might be a dangerous thing for the rest of the Big Ten that Oregon lost that game.

Whether the loss made Oregon more dangerous over the rest of the season is a future, testable team-performance claim.
