The MLB Wild Card format is great because it allows long shots like the Diamondbacks to make the World Series

So for everybody that's saying, I mean, Dodgers fans that are saying that the new wild card format is [bullshit], that they should go back. Well, one of the, one of the teams got to the World Series... because I love, I love long shots. If your team's not in it, it's hard to, to not root for a long shot and an underdog.

The Diamondbacks did reach the World Series as a 6-seed, proving the format enables long-shot runs.

The quick turnarounds of the Diamondbacks and Rangers are a testament to why fans should never give up on their teams

The Texas Rangers were 60 and 102. The Arizona Diamondbacks were 52 and 110. It's insane. This is what sports are about. If you're a fan, the ability to have your franchise turn that quickly... it's a true testament. This is why you stick with your team because a quick turnaround like this is right around the corner.

Both teams reached the 2023 World Series after being bottom-dwellers in 2021, proving his point about quick turnarounds in modern MLB.

I love that the Rangers spent a massive amount of money to buy a winning team

I also love on the other side, the Rangers, they spent a lot of money and Astros fans being extra salty... Isn't that exactly what every fan wants their team to do? Yeah. I want my team to spend all the money every year, especially in baseball, when there's no real salary cap. Just spend it all.

The Rangers' heavy spending on Seager, Semien, and pitching directly led to their title, making the 'buying wins' strategy objectively successful in this case.

Every game for the rest of my life is a must-win

Every game ever. For the rest of my life is a must win.

This is a personal philosophy/vow that cannot be factually proven right or wrong.

Getting excited for the NFL schedule release is for pussies

I can't get it up for the schedule release because it's—if you explained what the schedule release was to Vince Lombardi, he'd call you a pussy and spit in your face.

The schedule release is a highly watched media event, though many analysts share the sentiment that it is overblown.

The NFL should release one game schedule per day for the entire off-season

The NFL, they should do, they should draw it out even longer. It should be one game that Roger Goodell releases per day for the entire off-season. And then at the end of it, he's like, okay, let's play some ball.

This is a procedural suggestion that has not been implemented by the league.

The Preakness Stakes should move its date to three weeks before the Kentucky Derby

Why doesn't the Preakness just say, screw it to the Kentucky Derby and schedule their main race for like three weeks before the Kentucky Derby? You wanna play hardball? Yeah, you could play hardball. I feel like if you, if your horse wins the Preakness, if it was scheduled for before the Derby, you're not skipping the derby. No, you gotta run in the derby.

This is a hypothetical scheduling proposal to solve the issue of horses skipping the second jewel of the Triple Crown.
