The NFL uses the Detroit Lions as a test case for the most obscure rules in the book

You were also, like, victims of the most obscure parts of the rule book constantly... Rules that you never hear about growing up playing football, but somehow, like, it's like the refs go, they check under the hood, then they flip to the very back of the rule book, put their glasses on, and they're like, here, this one right here... They use you [the Lions] as a test case scenario for a lot of them.

The 'Calvin Johnson Rule' and the Jim Schwartz challenge flag incident are real examples of the Lions being at the center of rare rule interpretations.

The Giants aren't tough enough if their quarterback thinks he's even able to swing in a training camp fight

I say that I don't think that the New York Giants are tough enough if their quarterback is thinking that he's even able to swing on him... I don't think that they're tough enough if Daniel Jones thinks he's a fighter.

Subjective opinion on team dynamics.

Dan Campbell is the most 'football guy' to ever coach in the NFL

Dan Campbell, man Campbell. He's alpha-ed the entire ranks of every – he's the most football guy to ever coach in the NFL, I think. He's starting to blur the line where he's no longer really a football guy. He's just kind of a football.

The definition of a 'football guy' is a specific PMT trope, and Campbell has become the poster child for it.

Joe Judge making NFL players do laps and push-ups after a fight will not end well

Joe Judge is dealing with it as well because part of the giant scrum... they did laps, 100-yard laps, and then he didn't like how everyone did it, so then he made everyone do push-ups. And I feel like that's not going to go over well with a bunch of millionaire athletes.

Joe Judge was fired after just two seasons, with reports citing his hard-nosed 'tough guy' style as a factor in losing the locker room.

The Bills could have three or four Super Bowls without kickers

You can make the argument that the Buffalo Bills would have like three or four Super Bowls if kickers weren't a thing in football. You can make the argument that the Patriots might not have had the start of that dynasty if it wasn't for kickers.

The claim is a counterfactual and cannot be definitively verified.

Jalen Hurts will answer the Titans by beating them as a passer

I actually think Jalen Hurts is good enough as a quarterback that when somebody dares him to do that, he could say, 'Fuck you, I will beat you as a quarterback.' And then stay in the pocket and throw for like 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Hurts' passing production against Tennessee will determine this prediction.

The Jaguars would be the second-best team in football if they win in Denver

If they win this game in Denver, I would put them maybe second in the power rankings behind the Jets.

The Jaguars' win and their resulting standing in PFT's power rankings are the relevant conditions; the ranking itself is subjective.
