I would never close the door on teaming up with Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan on a coaching staff again

[Teaming up with McVay and Shanahan] I think it'd be great... Absolutely not [closing the door]. I don't know if they could coexist, you know, being in the same division all these years. But I hope that's possible.

This is a statement of intent/openness and can only be proven true if they actually reunite.

Aaron Rodgers realizing he misses the Packers' culture after his time with the Jets makes me grin

Aaron Rodgers said that he's looking for a culture like the Packers... That does make me, that does make me grin. That makes me happy. Unfortunately just between Saleh and my brother, you know, there's some interesting stories [from the Jets] to say.

LaFleur is confirming his own emotional reaction, which is inherently true.

Kicking the field goal down 8 in the 2020 NFCCG was the best decision for the team

I'll tell you what you look at, how many plays inside the red zone, especially you're talking about eight plus are successful in that situation. And I just felt like it was best. I thought our defense was playing well and thought we could get the stop. And unfortunately you're damned if you do damned, if you don't... had I be in that same situation again, I really do think that was the best thing for us.

This is a subjective coaching philosophy choice, though widely criticized by analysts.

I don't think you can put an age on leadership

I don't think you can put any type of age on leadership. I saw Sean [McVay] firsthand and I thought he did as good a job as anybody I've been around in terms of getting the respect and the command from the team.

This is a philosophical coaching take that cannot be definitively proven or disproven.

The Packers will have zero tolerance for fighting in training camp

No tolerance there... zero tolerance at all. You fight you're out. Just for the day. And don't get me wrong, skirmishes are going to happen. You don't want to see haymakers being thrown, especially when it's your own teammate.

This refers to his internal team policy during the 2019 camp.

The Packers will utilize the fullback position as a weapon this year

Danny [Vitale]'s been awesome. We want to be able to run everything out of 21 personnel. And a lot of teams don't see that anymore. So it is a little bit of an advantage, especially if you get a guy that can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Vitale played 15 games in 2019, catching 7 passes for 97 yards and serving as a lead blocker, though he wasn't a statistical 'weapon' in the traditional sense.

Pass interference review rules might actually favor the defense

Honestly, I think it could be an advantage from a defensive perspective, considering that all scoring plays are under automatic review. And you see a lot of rub or pick plays down in that red area. So it could actually help the defense.

The PI review rule was largely considered a failure and was scrapped after just one season (2019) due to a lack of overturns.
