The Chiefs will beat the Eagles 34-24 in Super Bowl 59

I am leaning towards 34 24. Okay. Leaning. Okay... but that's, you know, write that in pencil. No, not in pen.

The Chiefs lost to the Eagles 22-40 in Super Bowl LIX. Nick Wright predicted Chiefs 34-24; instead the Eagles won convincingly.

Josh Allen will eventually win a Super Bowl

I think [Josh Allen] will win a Super Bowl eventually, but we're, we're, the, somebody is gonna be left without a chair... I would worry about for Josh is if, because I think he'll beat the Chiefs in the playoffs one time. He's too good.

Josh Allen has not won a Super Bowl yet.

Lamar Jackson is the 'Aaron Judge' of the NFL

Lamar, everybody gets so mad at me Lamar's Aaron Judge... which is on a day in, day out basis in the regular season, you're like, is this the best player in the sport or certainly in the very, you know, top two or three and then come the playoffs. It's like, man, every time... every regular season it's Lamar's the best player in the league. And every Playoffs it's like, you know why they lost, they put the ball in Lamar's hands too much.

Lamar Jackson has a high regular season win percentage and multiple MVPs, but a poor postseason record (2-5 as of this episode).

I am '99 percent correct' about my Caleb Williams Super Bowl prediction because the player profile I described came true with Jayden Daniels.

If I said in June of 2028 an asteroid is gonna hit Peru and cause damage the likes of which we haven't seen in centuries... and then in June of 2028 an asteroid hit Uruguay, am I more right than the people who said it would never happen? I was off by 900 miles, but I'm 99% correct, 1% wrong. In calling the NFC this year, I basically called it. I was off by 900 miles, but I'm more right than everyone else.

Nick's claim of being '99% right' for being wrong about the specific player is a rhetorical device and subjective.

Josh Allen will beat the Chiefs in the playoffs exactly one time in his career.

I think [Josh Allen] will beat the Chiefs in the playoffs one time. He's too good and they're, the games are too close. Is it going to be hard psychologically to then recalibrate and be like, that wasn't the Super Bowl? But I think he'll beat the Chiefs in the playoffs one time.

Josh Allen currently has zero playoff wins over the Chiefs. This will resolve once he wins one or retires.

If Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen swapped teams, Mahomes would have four Super Bowl appearances and two rings while Allen would have two appearances and one ring.

If it were flipped, I think Josh would've been to two and won one. And I think Mahomes would've been to four and won two. iHomes, because those Bills teams in 2022 with Mahomes instead of Josh... that team was awesome. I think 2021, it probably would've gone Josh's way in Kansas City last year with Tyreek. But I think the early Josh Allen Bills teams... you drop Mahomes on there, it's to me a similar situation as when you dropped him on Kansas City.

This is a counterfactual hypothetical that cannot be proven or disproven.

Patrick Mahomes is the best player ever, but Tom Brady is still the Greatest of All Time.

I already think [Mahomes] is the best player ever, but he's not the greatest quarterback of all time. I think accomplishments have to weigh a ton, and so Brady gets to be called the GOAT. I think that if they pull off the three-peat, you can, and someone wants to say he's now the greatest of all time, it's at least an allowed opinion.

The GOAT debate is a subjective matter of sports opinion.

Jalen Hurts' performance in Super Bowl 57 was the best individual performance ever for a player who also made the play that lost his team the game.

The best game Jalen Hurts ever played is that Super Bowl game. And I would argue it is the single best game any player has ever played that also included them making the play that lost their team of the game. I think of all the games where one guy made a totally unforced catastrophic error that cost his team a championship, he played the best in that game.

The evaluation of 'best performance in a loss' is an inherently subjective sports debate.

Kevin Durant's social media sensitivity shows he is not at peace with his move to the Warriors

If people bring up him [Kevin Durant] going to the Warriors, he clearly is not at peace with that decision, even though it has worked out better than even he could have expected... It is because you're Kevin Durant, you're not supposed to respond to trolls in your mentions.

KD has continued to be highly active and sensitive to critics on social media for years, supporting the idea of a lack of peace with his narrative.

Losing the 2011 Finals to the Mavericks was ultimately good for LeBron James's legacy

The best thing that happened to LeBron, even though the way they lost was not great, the best thing that happened to LeBron was that Miami team losing to Dallas. Because it validated those other two titles. It made it seem hard... The fact that they had real adversity made the rest of the championships feel validated to the public.

This is a matter of historical narrative framing.

LeBron James is objectively the greatest basketball player ever

Wouldn't change the fact that he's [LeBron James] objectively and obviously the greatest basketball player ever.

The GOAT debate is inherently subjective.

Local sports talk radio will survive because people always want a place to 'sound off' immediately after a game ends

I think local radio will be fine... there will always be the thirst for people the moment the Cubs game ends to sound off about it. No matter how good a podcast is, it's not on the air the moment the game ends where you can interact.

A long-term industry prediction that remains a point of debate in the media landscape.

Tom Brady is the 'Greatest' quarterback ever, but Aaron Rodgers is 'Better' at playing the position than anyone in history

I think Tom Brady's the greatest quarterback ever, but I think Aaron Rodgers is better at playing quarterback than anybody... Aaron Rodgers is better playing quarterback than anybody ever.

Subjective sports ranking.

Kawhi Leonard winning the 2014 Finals MVP was absurd because LeBron James averaged 28 points on 57% shooting in that series

Kawhi Leonard won the finals MVP, holding LeBron to 56% shooting. [LeBron] averaged 28 [points]... in that finals.

Subjective interpretation of a player's performance vs. an award result.

The 2018-19 Lakers will be a 4 or 5 seed in the Western Conference

The Lakers shouldn't be very good this year, right? Yeah, I think probably like the four or five seed. Yeah, they'll finish somewhere around there.

The Lakers finished 37-45, 10th in the West, and missed the playoffs entirely.

The Warriors would have been a better team if they never added Kevin Durant

The concern I had with the Warriors... they kept their top three players, but other than that, they made major moves. They got rid of rim protection... for a guy that I thought was redundant... throughout the regular season, it was looking correct. Now, in the playoffs, it looks idiotic, and I got to own that.

The Warriors won the 2017 championship with a 16-1 playoff record, making the claim that they were 'better off without him' factually dubious.

Draymond Green is a poor man's LeBron James

Draymond is like a poor man's LeBron. Because Draymond is... a guy that can guard all five spots. A guy that can bring the ball up the court.

A stylistic comparison that is subjective but common in sports analysis.

Shooting three-pointers is the least visually pleasing skill in basketball

When the Warriors' success up to this season was predicated on two guys who have mastered the one skill in basketball that, to me, is least pleasing, just from a visual perspective... Shooting threes.

Aesthetics in sports are entirely a matter of personal preference.

LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time

I think LeBron's the greatest player ever. You disagree with that, and we can have that discussion as well if you'd like.

The GOAT debate is inherently subjective.
