Liam Coen is the biggest snake in football for leaving the Buccaneers for the Jaguars

New Jaguar's head coach Liam Coen is the biggest snake in football today... My feelings were hurt when you left... I was a card carrying member. I was a Coenhead.

Whether someone is a 'snake' in this context is entirely subjective.

Desmond Ridder is the most pro-ready quarterback in the 2022 draft and is comparable to Marcus Mariota

A quarterback that can start right away. Kenny Pickett from Pitt? And it's like the most pro ready guy. I kind of like Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati... Cincinnati is like NFL comp is like Marcus Mariota.

Ridder did not start right away (Marcus Mariota actually started over him in Atlanta) and his career has struggled compared to Mariota's peak.

Trayvon Walker will be a bust

I want to say Trayvon Walker, just because like I'm a traits over production guy and that's what the whole draft is... we haven't seen it on field... What are we doing here? ... I would say if I would pick one bust, it would be him.

Travon Walker had a breakout 2024 season with 10.5 sacks and 61 tackles, his best year as a pro. He has not been a bust — he showed significant improvement and was a productive edge rusher.

Kayvon Thibodeau has red flags because he may not 'love football' due to his outside interests like cryptocurrency

The other flag that I would have, and there's a lot of smoke around this. Guy's Kayvon Thibodeau... I, I love hearing these... red flags around guys. Like, does he love football? This guy has like a ton of outside interest. He started his own cryptocurrencies.

Thibodeau has been a productive starter for the Giants, calling into question the 'doesn't love football' narrative.

Nakobe Dean will not be drafted in the first round

There's some medical things with linebackers right now. So I would say Nakobe Dean, who's probably the most productive player on Georgia's defense, the linebacker is not going to get drafted in the first round.

Correct. Dean fell all the way to the 3rd round (pick 83).

Quay Walker is a lock to be drafted in the first round and will go before Nakobe Dean

Quay Walker is whoa from what I'm hearing, like kind of a lock to be drafted in the first round. And he's a big, he had production, but he was, he's definitely traits over, over production guy.

Correct. Quay Walker went 22nd to the Packers, while Dean fell out of the first round.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will win the Super Bowl this season

They're like record... Super bowl. Super bowl winner. Yes.

Incorrect. The Buccaneers lost in the Wild Card round to the Cowboys.

Jalen Mayfield is a 'dumpy' prospect who will have to move from tackle to guard in the NFL due to his arm size

Jalen Mayfield... is your classic, like bad body guy, but he's a better football player. As far as offensive tackles arm size, you're going to want to see 34 inches and above; I believe [Jalen] Mayfield's like 32 and change. So that kind of limits him. He's probably going to move inside to guard because his arms aren't really a required size to play on the outside.

Mayfield was drafted by the Falcons and moved to guard, where he struggled significantly before moving back to tackle later.

Justin Fields is the 'Red Star' guy of the 2021 draft who will not bust

My red star guy, honestly, Justin Fields. I think everyone's overthinking Justin Fields. The fact that he's not going to be a top three quarterback... This guy's not going to bust. I know that this guy is legit. He's the guy we should draft on our team. I'm fully vouching for this guy.

Fields struggled as a starter in Chicago and was eventually traded to Pittsburgh to be a backup, suggesting the 'not a bust' claim is incorrect or at least partially incorrect.

Rashod Bateman will translate instantly to the NFL as a successful receiver

Rashod Bateman, wide receiver out of Minnesota... He's just a guy that separation as far as route running, catching over the middle stuff. He's going to translate instantly. He's probably going to be a second round guy, maybe a late first, but Rashod Bateman would be my red star guy.

Bateman was a first-round pick but his 'instant translation' was slowed significantly by multiple injuries early in his career.

Devonta Smith will not be a top 10 pick in the NFL Draft

I had the take during the national championship... I think Devonta Smith is going to be awesome, but I cannot see a team spending a top 10 pick on a 175 pound wide receiver... drafting traits over production... Devontae Smith just does not have the frame.

Devonta Smith was selected 10th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2021 NFL Draft.

DeVonta Smith does not have the physical frame to add significant weight in the NFL

DeVonta Smith officially [weighed in] a couple weeks ago at 166 pounds. He had several months to gain weight and puff up. He got to 166. So he was several pounds below that. DeVonta Smith just does not have the frame to add more weight because he had several months to do so and still couldn't do it. I don't see how he gets into an NFL program and then all of a sudden gets to like 185 or 190. He just needs more sand.

Smith has remained slim throughout his career but has been highly productive regardless of his size.

Mac Jones is the 'Coach Killer' of the 2021 draft for Kyle Shanahan

It is Mac Jones because – It is, from what we've heard, Kyle Shanahan versus the personnel department in San Francisco... If Mac Jones does not turn out and Trey Lance and or Justin Fields turns out to be a very good player, we could be witnessing the beginning of the end to Kyle Shanahan.

Kyle Shanahan drafted Trey Lance, not Mac Jones. Shanahan remains the 49ers coach and has since made a Super Bowl.

Joe Tryon has the 'body beautiful' that scouts look for in an edge rusher

On defense, we're going to look at an edge rusher out of Washington... Joe Tryon. I mean, he's just 6'5", 260, muscled up. He's exactly what you'd want to look for as far as body beautiful. That dude's wrapped.

Tryon-Shoyinka was drafted 32nd overall by Cheah's Buccaneers, largely due to his physical profile.
