Nikola Jokic is the best basketball player in the world

I agree. I think he is the best basketball player and I think he's proving it every single night... I think he's proving it every single night. And you know, I go back, my first summer in Denver was also Nicole's first summer... In Las Vegas for Summer league in that, not one point in time in Vegas did I say, Hey, we have a franchise player.

Jokic won Finals MVP shortly after this and is widely considered the best in the world as of 2024.

My $10,000 bet on the Heat and Panthers was an investment with a 10% ROI

It was a, it was an investment. Big get. It wasn't a bet. The mission was always to make 10% ROI on your investment. It had never happened before in the history of the nba. And there's a reason why I didn't do this. Bet if it was a six game series, you need seven games. You, you need that extra cushion there to win.

The Heat won Game 7, so his investment did indeed cash for the promised 10% return.

South Florida officially owns Boston

Jake Marsh owns Henry Lockwood. I don't, I had all the momentum... But we, we lost a game seven at home to an eight seed in hockey. We lost a game seven at home to an eight seed in eight basketball. South Florida will say it. Own Boston.

Both the Bruins and Celtics lost Game 7s at home to #8 seeds from Florida in 2023. This is historically accurate.

Jalen Brown does not know how to dribble

Jalen Brown does not know how to dribble. I don't know if that's something he's gonna learn. And then, I mean Jason Tatum obviously I think Jason Tatum probably smells the best coming out of this run... But where do you go and Marcus Smart? I don't know. Do you keep rolling out the same thing year after year?

While Brown is an All-NBA player, his ball-handling deficiencies were a major factor in the Heat series and remain a common criticism.

Victor Wembanyama is the future of the NBA and has no weaknesses

Yes, you're watching Wembanyama and you're saying, wow, this guy is a future of the NBA... Wendy's ability to be a playmaker. His passing ability, he was making all his teammates better... he's gonna get stronger, but I, I don't see any weaknesses in his game.

Wembanyama unanimously won Rookie of the Year and finished 2nd in DPOY voting, largely validating this take.

The Oklahoma City Thunder aren't too young to win a title

I don't buy into the hole, they're too young to win it. Last year people thought, well, we've never won a championship. They can't win a finals... They have the talent, they have the coaching, and I think these Western conference playoffs are just gonna be so fun to watch.

The Thunder won their first-round series but lost in the second round to the Mavericks, showing they were capable of winning playoff games but not yet a title.

LeBron James and Nikola Jokic are incredibly similar players

I think LeBron James and Nicole Yoic are very, very similar. Hmm. And when and the eye test you say hell no. Like one's a great athlete freakish and the other guy can't jump over the Sunday newspaper. But you get away from that. Both those guys, their iq, their unselfishness, their ability to make everyone better and impact the game.

Both are known for high basketball IQ, triple-doubles, and elite passing for their size. This is a common advanced scouting comparison.
