Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, and Brock Purdy are system-dependent quarterbacks

There's other guys that you could sprinkle around and put 'em in the right systems. And I think Tua is like that. I think Brock [Purdy] is like that. I think Jalen [Hurts] is probably like that, where if you get 'em in the right spot, then they can be as good as anybody. But you can't necessarily pick them up and drop them in any situation and have them be elite.

A high-level opinion from a former QB that would spark significant debate.

Ohio State was the best team in the inaugural 12-team playoff

Ohio State has done it. $20 million roster. Incredible team... they kicked the shit out of everyone in the playoffs. They were the best team in this playoffs.

Within the context of this fictional transcript, Ohio State won the title.

The National Championship game should be played no later than January 10th

January 10th should be the latest they play the national championship. You can't have it. You can't have four NFL teams left and still not have a national title champion for college football. It just feels weird. It feels off. It's stupid.

This is a subjective scheduling preference.

Hiring Ben Johnson literally changes everything for the Bears and they are 'all the way back'

If I were to say what I was gonna really feel... I would say that hiring Ben Johnson literally changes everything about this franchise and it's all the way back... This hire is so different than what, what the Bears are usually able to pull off. And he was, and the guy's a fucking boy genius.

The Bears did hire Johnson, but the 'all the way back' status is subjective and depends on future results.

Philip Rivers won't play as well in his second game back

Seattle didn't come after him at all. ... I have to imagine they're gonna come after him a little bit more this week, put some pressure on him... that ball's gonna come out quick. He's not gonna take a whole lot of hits. ... I don't know that that's gonna bode well for Philip, unfortunately.

Rivers struggled in his second game as defenses adjusted to his limited mobility.

The Jaguars won't make noise in the playoffs despite Trevor Lawrence's form

Trevor Lawrence has certainly gotten better this year. I'm not too concerned about the Jacksonville Jaguars making noise in the playoffs, so— [Big Cat: 'Oh, okay. So yeah, we do overreact to everything.']

The Jaguars were eliminated early in the 2026 playoffs.

The Rams have the most underrated offensive line in football

The Rams, Andrew Whitworth keeps telling me he's in my ear like this is the most underrated offensive line in football. ... Just watch how many times their running back gets through the line without being touched.

Underrated is a subjective label, though PFF grades and rushing stats can provide some evidence.
