Jalen Wright is the 'diamond in the rough' of the 2024 NFL draft

The running back on the Dolphins who they traded up to get in the fourth round, Jalen Wright out of Tennessee... This Jalen Wright averaged eight yards a carry at Tennessee is as fast as they come... That's my diamond in the rough.

Jalen Wright had a very quiet rookie season with the Dolphins in 2024, recording minimal stats. He was not a 'diamond in the rough' of the draft class.

The Falcons drafted Michael Penix Jr. to avoid quarterback purgatory

This move to them ensures that no matter what happens in the next two to three years... they will not be in quarterback purgatory. They viewed Michael Penix as a top 10 prospect in this draft. They themselves do not see them being in the top 10 again now that they have Kirk Cousins.

This accurately reflects the reasoning later provided by Falcons GM Terry Fontenot.

Joel Embiid is having a better series than Jalen Brunson

Joel Embiid is scoring 35 points a game. 45% from the field and a plus 34 when he's on the court... Jalen Brunson is scoring 33 points a game 40% from the field and is a minus three when he's on the court. And the difference that people are talking about Jalen Brunson and Joel Embiid is absolutely insane.

While the raw plus/minus favored Embiid, the Knicks won the series 4-2 and Brunson had several legendary performances (including a 47-point game) that led directly to wins.

The Sixers are a better basketball team than the Knicks, the Knicks just want it more

The Sixers are a better basketball team. It's just that [the Knicks] want it more. They are just dogs. They want, it's just that they want it more.

The Knicks finished higher in the regular season and won the head-to-head playoff series; in basketball, results usually define who the 'better' team is.

The Giants completely changed their negative reputation in just three days of the NFL Draft

The Giants have had the roughest reputational year that a team can imagine... And in the matter of three days, Joe Shane and Brian [Daboll] have completely changed a conversation around this team where like every Giants fan is like back on board and they're like, let's go.

The Giants struggled significantly in the 2025 season despite the draft praise, failing to change their reputation for long.

The Falcons cannot keep Kirk Cousins as a backup with his current salary following the Michael Penix Jr. pick

I can't imagine the Falcons week one paying Kirk Cousins that salary and having Michael Penix be the starter... if you're the Falcons, you can't have that guy with that salary as much as they say it... that guy can't be on the ri, he's a great teammate in the whole thing and he showed up to Spring Camp, but you can't be paying him that number to be a backup.

Cousins remained the starter for the majority of the 2024/25 season while on that salary.

Xavier Restrepo will be the #3 receiver for the Titans and record 60 catches as an undrafted rookie

I watched a lot of Miami. I don't understand [how he didn't get drafted]... That guy makes a play every single time they throw it to him... Isaiah [Xavier] Restrepo is gonna be like the number three receiver and he'll have 60 catches and he'll be a great NFL player.

Restrepo did not reach 60 catches as a rookie for the Titans.
