The Jaguars will cover +4.5 against the Cowboys because Dallas is in a look-ahead spot

I'm going to take the Jacksonville Jaguars plus four and a half Cowboys in look ahead. Big time. Look ahead with, I kinda like Eagles. Yeah. It's just, I feel like it's one of those games I'll know right away... Trevor Lawrence, I don't hate it. I'm riding big time look ahead game.

The Jaguars actually won the game outright 40-34 in overtime, easily covering the spread.

Brock Purdy walked into the best situation a low-drafted quarterback could ever have

I don't think there's a better situation that a Mr irrelevant low drafted quarterback could ever walk into than not only Kyle Shanahan, but this specific 49ers team that just has so much talent everywhere. Like their defense is great. Their running game is great. He's not really getting hit that much.

Purdy's continued success and the 49ers' dominant system support the idea that the environment was perfectly constructed for a QB of his profile.

The Seahawks are running out of gas because they lack top-end talent

It feels like they're just running outta gas in terms of talent. Their defense getting gashed on the, like last week the Panthers had 240 yards tonight. The Niners ran for five yards of carry. It just, it feels like it's getting to the end here where, where like the fact they don't have a ton of top end talent is hurting them.

The Seahawks did struggle late in the 2022 season, losing 5 of their last 8, but they actually managed to sneak into the playoffs at 9-8.

You cannot stop the run if you wear the Seahawks' full lime green color rush jerseys

I hope you're saying what I'm gonna think thinking, but you cannot stop the run if you're wearing those jerseys... You gotta commit to it. It's Thursday night football baby. And even if you do commit to it, I still think that you're gonna get gashed on the ground. Yeah. If you're wearing those jerseys... those are jerseys that'll just get run on.

The 49ers ran for 170 yards (5.0 avg) against the Seahawks in those jerseys this game. Historically, uniform-based performance is subjective but the literal claim that they'd get run on was true that night.

The Ravens are using a physical loophole to back out of the Maxx Crosby trade

I'm calling bullshit on all this. It does feel like something's fishy here. And maybe it's just the Ravens using the loophole of, hey, we can see, we can trade for Maxx Crosby, see how the rest of free agency plays out, knowing that this stupid legal tampering and then official free agency, there's a two day gap and then just figure it out later.

The trade was literally rescinded, but the 'nefarious loophole' theory is a subjective interpretation of front office tactics.

The NFL needs a 'no-backsies' rule for players who post elaborate social media goodbye videos

If you post a 13 minute goodbye video on social media like Maxx Crosby did, that should just be trade final. You can't come back on that... I actually am rooting for Maxx Crosby to be on the Raiders now because that will be so awkward and funny.

This is a humorous rule proposal, not a verifiable prediction.

The Panthers were right to overpay for Jaelan Phillips

The Panthers getting Jaelan Phillips, even though it was a lot of money, I feel like you gotta do it. Cap went up and I feel like you have to do those type of moves, especially when you are a playoff team from last year. Your defense was a problem... I'd be like, oh, Howie's interested? I'll give him more money.

The success of the Panthers' defense with Phillips will determine if the overpay was justified.
