The Broncos have officially surrendered on the Russell Wilson era and are in rebuild mode

The Broncos like match being Russ Wilson. Like, they basically were like, fuck this. We're we suck... we have such regret on everything that took place that we need to get picks back as fast as possible.

The Broncos fired Nathaniel Hackett shortly after, but kept Wilson for another season before eventually cutting him in 2024, confirming the 'regret' took time to fully manifest.

Lance McCullers Jr. was tipping his pitches against the Phillies

Lance McCullers was tipping all of his pitches tonight. And you saw it from the start. Like Bryce [Harper], when he went yard, he told everybody in the Phillies dugout, he's like, This guy's tipping his pitches. A bunch of stuff went viral online where you could see like the high leg kick. You could see the back leg being straight and the Phillies hit all their home runs off sinkers curves, changeups things like that.

Post-game analysis and various experts confirmed McCullers was likely tipping his pitches based on his delivery mechanics.

The Dolphins, Ravens, and 49ers are now officially 'all in' for the 2022 season

The Miami Dolphins have joined the ranks of the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers... I'm gonna say that those three teams especially are all in right now.

The Dolphins and 49ers made deep playoff runs (49ers to the NFCCG), while the Ravens were competitive but hampered by Lamar Jackson's injury.

Jeff Wilson Jr. is the sneaky best move of the NFL trade deadline

I actually think Jeff Wilson is like the sneaky best move of the day because you have a running back who knows the Shanahan system who can now run Mike McDaniel's system. Like that was, that's one of those ones where it just, it's under the radar because there are bigger names.

Wilson had a productive rest of the season for Miami, including a big role in the offense, validating the 'sneaky' fit.

The Ravens are using a physical loophole to back out of the Maxx Crosby trade

I'm calling bullshit on all this. It does feel like something's fishy here. And maybe it's just the Ravens using the loophole of, hey, we can see, we can trade for Maxx Crosby, see how the rest of free agency plays out, knowing that this stupid legal tampering and then official free agency, there's a two day gap and then just figure it out later.

The trade was literally rescinded, but the 'nefarious loophole' theory is a subjective interpretation of front office tactics.

The NFL needs a 'no-backsies' rule for players who post elaborate social media goodbye videos

If you post a 13 minute goodbye video on social media like Maxx Crosby did, that should just be trade final. You can't come back on that... I actually am rooting for Maxx Crosby to be on the Raiders now because that will be so awkward and funny.

This is a humorous rule proposal, not a verifiable prediction.

The Panthers were right to overpay for Jaelan Phillips

The Panthers getting Jaelan Phillips, even though it was a lot of money, I feel like you gotta do it. Cap went up and I feel like you have to do those type of moves, especially when you are a playoff team from last year. Your defense was a problem... I'd be like, oh, Howie's interested? I'll give him more money.

The success of the Panthers' defense with Phillips will determine if the overpay was justified.
