Nate Diaz would have won the fight against Jake Paul if it lasted 40 more rounds

Every Nate Diaz fight is the exact same. He oftentimes loses and I just love him even more after. And I'm like, if that fight lasted 40 more rounds, he would've won. He would never get out-timed. He would just outlast you.

This is a counterfactual prediction that cannot be proven, though Diaz's legendary cardio is well-documented.

The new-look Big 12 is going to be awesome for college sports

The Big 12 rocks, the new Big 12 rocks. The fact that we're gonna get like Kansas and Arizona playing basketball every single year, that rocks. Texas Tech and UCF is going to be my game of the year over every single year. Like there are new wrinkles that are awesome.

The Big 12 successfully expanded and remained highly competitive in both football and basketball.

Larry Scott is the primary villain responsible for the death of the Pac-12

Larry Scott is the big villain in all this. Larry Scott, when they brought him in, they were like, 'this guy is a visionary. He understands the future of sports better than anybody.' Basically, his vision was just fucking everything up and making everybody hate 'em.

Larry Scott is almost universally cited by analysts and fans as the key figure whose decisions led to the Pac-12's demise.

Conference realignment is the least appealing part of college football

The conference realignment discussion that we have—and it seems like it's every offseason—it's like the least appealing part of college football to me. I love it, and at it's a bummer, at the end of the day we're gonna watch the games, but it is gonna leave some people out.

The PAC-12 effectively dissolved after this episode, with most teams joining the Big Ten, Big 12, or ACC.

I love the DJ Moore trade for the Bears because it clears cap space for Max Crosby or Tyler Linderbaum

I love this trade because you clear up money. [DJ Moore's] got a big pretty hefty contract so you clear up money to maybe go get a Max Crosby or a Linderbaum. You get a pick and you make the bet that Luther Burden and Rome Odunze are gonna be taking leaps forward.

The trade is real in this transcript's timeline. The outcome of the cap space usage depends on free agency results.

DJ Moore would not have had a 1,000-yard season if he stayed in the Bears' offense

He could have a thousand yards [with the Bills] and be like, wow. How, how could you trade him? He wouldn't have had a thousand yards in this Bear's offense.

Moore finished the 2023 season with 1,364 yards for the Bears, so this retrospective hypothetical is likely incorrect as he had already proven he could do it.

Malik Willis is the #1 free agent backup quarterback

Top quarterback free agents... Is it also Malik Willis? Malik Willis is, yes. So he's number one. Malik Willis one.

Willis was traded to the Packers in 2024 and performed well as a backup, but ranking him #1 over established vets is a subjective value judgment.
