Do not bet on Scottie Scheffler to repeat as Masters champion in 2025

Remind us not to bet on Scottie Scheffler [next year], which I still will... for a returning champion at Augusta, I think it's been like only two of the last 20 have even finished in the top 10.

Big Cat's take was to 'not bet on Scottie Scheffler to repeat.' Scheffler finished 4th at the 2025 Masters, failing to repeat as champion. The advice to not bet on Scheffler as defending champion proved correct.

Ludvig Åberg will win multiple major championships in his lifetime

Oberg will win. I'm calling my shot. Oh, yeah, [Åberg] is gonna win multiple major championships in his lifetime. But Scottie was just too good.

Åberg has yet to win a major, but his career is in its early stages.

Scottie Scheffler will win the 2024 U.S. Open with his new baby

All that means is he's gonna have the kid and then he's definitely gonna win the US open 100% with a new baby. That's gonna be the picture. That's him holding his new baby on the tee or on the green of the 18th hole. The US Open wherever. Oh, it's Pinehurst, right? Yep. It is Pinehurst.

Bryson DeChambeau won the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst; Scheffler finished T41.

Verne Lundquist should do a 'ManningCast' style broadcast for the Masters starting next year

Verne needs to do like a ManningCast thing next year at the Masters where it's just Verne sitting in his living room... with that big smile on his face.

This is a subjective opinion about media formatting.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
