I am going to love hating Grayson Allen this college basketball season

Grayson Allen is back. Hating Grayson Allen is back. He played all 40 minutes [against Michigan State]. He scored 37 points... and I am going to love hating Grayson Allen this year.

The 2017-18 season was indeed Grayson Allen's senior year and he remained a polarizing figure throughout Duke's run to the Elite Eight.

College basketball point spreads are constantly ruined by excessive fouling at the end of games

In college basketball, they will foul until the end of time, and every single point spread will be ruined. A team could be down four points with 30 seconds left... they will foul until the end of time, and every single point spread will be ruined.

This is a subjective grievance, though widely shared by the betting community.

Tom Izzo is an overrated basketball coach

Yes, and let's not forget it's also the start of Coach [Tom] Izzo's overrated season. We were the first ones on that bandwagon like a year and a half ago, so I'm going to restake my claim on that.

Subjective coaching evaluation; Izzo continued to reach the tournament consistently but did not win another title after 2000.

Blind resume season is going to be tough on Wisconsin's CFP chances

Blind resume season is going to be tough on Wisconsin. That's going to be bad luck. It's going to be like, here are four teams that have beaten three top ten teams, and then there's Wisconsin that has beaten a team ranked number 80.

Wisconsin finished the regular season 12-0 but remained at #4 until losing the Big Ten Title game to Ohio State, which ultimately kept them out of the playoff. The 'blind resume' was indeed their biggest hurdle.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
