I will no longer praise the food at Guaranteed Rate Field because Jerry Reinsdorf is a bad owner

I'm no longer gonna say that [the food is good] because that's what Jerry Reinsdorf wants you to say... It doesn't matter what happens on the field. We got great food, we got great beer... I can no longer say that I'm gonna stand with White Sox fans. I will no longer plug the fact that going to a game there is actually fun.

This is a subjective personal pledge based on team performance and ownership quality.

The Pelicans would have beaten the Lakers if Zion Williamson had stayed in the game

I think the Pelicans win that game if Zion stays in the game. They had, Brandon Ingram wasn't good... and Zion was like, I'm putting the whole team on my back. And he almost beat the Lakers by himself.

The game was tied 95-95 with 3:13 left when Zion exited; the Lakers eventually won 110-106. While unprovable, it is a widely held 'what if'.

The Lakers are going to beat the Nuggets in their playoff series

I think they could beat the Nuggets... Championship experience, you know... [They've] got the best players of all time. Anthony Davis, All-Stars, All-NBA players. Why not?

The Nuggets defeated the Lakers 4-1 in the first round of the 2024 playoffs.

The Sacramento Kings have no chance against the Oklahoma City Thunder if they match up in the playoffs

I don't think that they [the Kings] have a chance against the Thunder, but I want them to be good.

The Kings were eliminated in the play-in tournament by the Pelicans, so they never faced the Thunder in the playoffs.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
