Jay Williams' 'hacked' excuse is an all-time idiot move

Jay Williams, all time idiot, like dumb tweet. And then on top of all that, he deletes it and waits like three hours and says... I did not post that. And my passcode has now been changed. So just like every hacker usually sets up, they spend years at hacking school so that they can one day tweet from Jay Williams' account that the Celtics hired the first black head coach.

Jay Williams' claim was widely mocked and is generally considered an obvious face-saving lie by sports media analysts.

Chris Paul was selfish for rushing back too fast from COVID protocols

I think Chris Paul was selfish tonight, Big Cat, in that he rushed himself back too fast. He did. And he needed to wait. Chris Paul needed to wait a little bit longer, come back. He was not the Chris Paul that we know.

Chris Paul struggled in his first game back (Game 3), shooting 5-of-19, but the Suns eventually won the series and Chris Paul played better in subsequent games.

With Cam Payne and Kawhi Leonard both out, there are 'no excuses' left in the Suns vs. Clippers series

Cam Payne did get hurt. He only played four minutes. That changes the whole series. You can confidently say there's no excuses left on the table. The Clippers are without their best guy, Kawhi. The Suns are without their best guy, Cam Payne.

Cam Payne and Kawhi Leonard are not comparable in value to their respective teams; this is a comedic over-exaggeration.

The 2018 NBA Draft should be redrafted to consider Trae Young over Luka Doncic

The best thing I said about [Trae Young] was that we now have to redraft the 2018 NBA draft. Because that's the biggest – Luka, how could you pick Trae Young ahead of – or how could you – the trade that went down where the Hawks basically traded back and they're like, you take Luka, we'll take Trae Young. So I think that that's actually... yeah, it's a discussion.

While Trae Young had a great 2021, Doncic has since established himself as a perennial First-Team All-NBA player, whereas Trae has fluctuated, keeping Luka as the consensus #1 in redrafts.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
