Odell Beckham Jr. would have been the Rudy Gobert of the NFL regarding coronavirus

Actually Odell Beckham like he we talked about Rudy Gobert on Friday, but he definitely would have been the Rudy Gobert of NFL. He would have caught a touchdown and put on a mask and gloves and then like wait, where'd you get that? Like, I actually I just got it from like the training staff who got it from a hospital. Whoops. Now, I have coronavirus.

This is a subjective character comparison that cannot be strictly proven, although OBJ did not have a 'Gobert' moment.

The sports void will feel better once the usual March Madness window passes

I think it will get better after two weeks when we aren't in the March Madness Zone, but Thursday morning. I'm going to need you all to text me and check in check in with your friends, because that's going to be a tough one for me to wake up.

The 'sports void' didn't really get better in two weeks; it arguably got worse as people realized the long-term nature of the pandemic, though the initial sting of missing the tournament did fade.

Bored NFL owners and GMs will make crazy trades during the quarantine

I predict that just out of sheer boredom from some of these owners and GMs, they're going to be some crazy trades that happen. They're just going to happen because the other owners and the other GMs are just like we need some action going on. I'm bored. Let's fucking pick up the phone and make some weird Arrangements.

The DeAndre Hopkins trade to the Cardinals happened on March 16, 2020, the same day this released, and was considered one of the 'craziest' trades in recent history.

Ryan Tannehill is effectively on a two-year franchise tag deal with the Titans

It's essentially they've they've franchise tagged Ryan Tannehill for two years right on this and probably saved a little bit of money right on a two-year franchise tag. So it's not bad because Tannehill, you know, he is who he is.

The contract was 4 years, $118M but $62M was fully guaranteed, meaning the Titans could move on after two seasons, effectively making it a two-year commitment.

The goal allowed by the US goalie was the most embarrassing possible

What about the goalie? Yeah, I mean he... that was the most embarrassing goal that I've ever seen. Possible.

While subjective, the blunder by the US goalkeeper (Freeze/Turner) was widely mocked as a 'MAC football' level mistake.

The USMNT is the 'James Franklin Penn State' of soccer

People were making very mean jokes online that we were James Franklin, Penn State. And it is actually perfectly appropriate because if you look at who we played, we beat the teams we're supposed to beat... and then we absolutely got ass fucked by the team that was better than us in Belgium. We are not who we thought we were.

Subjective comparison.

We just suck at soccer as a country and that's okay

My take is we suck at soccer and that's okay. Like, I don't care that we suck at soccer anymore. I'm going to root for the US team. I'm gonna get excited when we're in a World Cup. I'm gonna get hyped up and it's gonna be fun to watch. And then I'm gonna be reminded that we suck at soccer and that it's just gonna be like, okay, yeah, that's okay.

Subjective perspective on American soccer.
