Recent NBA champions — Bucks, Nuggets, Celtics — all failed to build dynasties, which is strange for the league

The NBA as a league has always been about dynasties. The last like five years have been very weird. Giannis and the Bucks win one and you're like, oh, they're gonna win a couple more. Yoic and the Nuggets win one, Celtics win one. And it's like, maybe that's not happening. These teams had this really bright flash of ascension and now where do the Nuggets go from here? Where do the Celtics go from here? All three of those teams, you would've thought when they were winning, they were set up for many wins coming forward. And it just didn't happen.

Subjective macro opinion about the NBA's competitive landscape - no single outcome resolves it.

Tyrese Maxey is a top 10 player in the NBA

Tyrese Maxey is a top 10 player in the NBA. And they're, I think it's pretty hard to debate right now, otherwise, because he has done it all year. ... This series, he proved himself to be a top 10 player in the NBA.

While Maxey is elite, top 10 is usually reserved for players like Jokic, Giannis, Luka, etc. Maxey is generally considered top 15-25.

Joel Embiid has successfully shifted his career narrative with this series win

I think Joel Embiid's narrative is shifting. Shifting but not [yet] shifted. ... Shifting-ING is different than -ED. Narrative shifted for sure. ... He's now shown that he's not like just a regular season guy. He's not a choker.

The narrative around Embiid has historically been centered on second-round failures and injuries; beating a -900 favorite Celtics team in Game 7 certainly impacts that.

Game six might be the last time we see Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown play together

Was game six in this series the last time we will see Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown play together?

Pending - whether Tatum and Brown remain teammates depends on offseason moves.

No lead is too big against the Knicks

There's no lead that's too big... against The Knicks. It's not like a fluke. It's, this is what this Knicks team is. They are a team that, that, that will step up in big moments and not give in.

Subjective assessment of team identity, though backed by their performance in the 2026 playoffs.

OG Anunoby is a certified star in the NBA, not just a role player

[OG Anunoby] is a certified star. Not superstar. Not superstar, but Star. Star... He's so good. And he just, his motor is just, he just never stops every, he's always making the right basketball play.

The Golden Knights should start Adin Hill in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final

I think this might be the time And it probably was the time before game five to go to the guy who won you a cup in Adin Hill... Carter Hart is the first goalie to concede four plus goals in each of the first five games of a Stanley Cup final.

Opinion on a coaching move.
