Sam Darnold's draft stock improved because he threw in the rain during his pro day

Are you nervous that Sam Darnold could throw in the rain? ... There actually were articles written that was the rainy weather. Did the rainy weather help Sam Darnold's draft stock? I think absolutely.

Darnold was drafted #3 overall, so while it didn't hurt him, it's subjective if the 'rain' specifically helped vs his overall profile.

College basketball teams should foul earlier because college players cannot hit free throws

The one thing that pisses me off this entire tournament... the fact that teams won't extend games. You should make kids shoot free throws in college. They can't hit free throws. And we saw that later with Kentucky.

Statistically, college free-throw percentages are lower than NBA ones, and in this specific tournament, several games turned on missed free throws (like Kentucky).

Calipari remained the head coach at Kentucky for six more years until moving to Arkansas in 2024.

Gonzaga has reached two national championship games (2017, 2021) but has yet to win a title, supporting the 'bridesmaid' part of the take.
