The 49ers shouldn't have traded up to 3 for Mac Jones if he was available at 15

The point was the 49ers traded a lot to get up to 3, and you shouldn't take a guy at 3 that you could potentially have at 15 like the Patriots got.

The 49ers took Trey Lance at 3 and Jones fell to 15, so the value assessment was factually supported by the draft board, though subjective in terms of player quality.

The 49ers created the best smokescreen in NFL draft history

I would not put that past Kyle Shanahan because this is the best smokescreen that I think I've ever seen in the NFL draft [leading people to believe they wanted Mac Jones].

The Niners did successfully keep their pick secret until the end, with many experts incorrectly predicting Jones to SF at #3.

Aaron Rodgers will go to the Broncos

I think [Aaron Rodgers] is going to go to Denver, and it's got to be an awesome life to be a Broncos fan. Because it's like, yeah, you get a couple seasons that are mixed in here and there, but then you just get good quarterbacks that just want to come to you. And Aaron Rodgers sounds like he wants to go there.

Rodgers did not go to Denver; he stayed with the Packers for two more seasons before being traded to the Jets in 2023.

Justin Fields is better than Aaron Rodgers

I don't fucking care. Justin Fields is a better quarterback than Aaron Rodgers anyway.

At the time, Rodgers was the reigning MVP. Fields struggled in Chicago and was eventually traded to the Steelers after three seasons.

Michigan was definitively the better team in the National Championship and it never felt like UConn was in danger of winning.

Michigan was the better team. We all saw it. It never felt like [the game] was in danger. Like the only moment that I was like, oh, UConn might have a chance, was when there was like maybe five and a half minutes left and Mullens missed that three to cut it to four.

The episode presents Michigan winning the 2026 National Championship as a fact within the show's timeline.

Michigan was the best team all year — outside of Duke, who would have won the championship by a lot

They were the best team. They were the best team all year outside of Duke. 'Cause that actually was my other big takeaway — Duke just completely, Duke beat this Michigan team a month and a half ago.

Subjective comparison of team quality. Duke did beat Michigan during the regular season in 2025-26.

Danny Hurley is 18-1 against the spread in his last four NCAA tournaments, which is insane

Danny Hurley remains 18 and one in the last four tournaments against the spread. How insane is that? Furman is the only one that they didn't cover. That was the first round this year.

This is a factual claim about Hurley's ATS record over the last four NCAA tournaments. Based on UConn's remarkable tournament run, this is plausible and presented as a known stat. Cannot fully verify exact record but the claim is stated as fact.
